  • Thanks for sharing this! You look like such a cute mom and your little boy is a cutie too! -Sarah

  • Im new at wrapping i have the same wrap and i would like to have some advice on how to use this wrap when you go out like to the mall. do u wrap it at the parking lot? in the car? pre wrap this at home? I need some help =C

  • @latitiko I would like to know too.

  • I like the way it looks wrapped in the front..

  • I'm not being silly, but I'm cosidering to use these wrapping methods for my newborn. How does one tackle issues involving baby needing to go to the toilet? How would you know before it's too late?

  • I've just bought a Didymos and can't wait to try this back carry.

  • I just made my woven wrap :) $15! But I wonder how wide (in inches) yours is so I can compair it & sew mine smaller. Thank you for the video! This is my favorite back carry too!

  • @araulm I'm wanting to make one too. Could you let me know kind of how you did it and the length and width of fabric/kind of fabric you used. I'm not a really experiences seamstress so any advice would be appreciated. :)

  • @gracistabu Hi! I went to Joans Fabric Store paid $15 due to great clearance price! I found a fabric in the linen section ( I had to ask for help to find where it was) called Bottom Weight it is a woven non stretch fabric that is 58 inches wide. I bought 7.5 Feet. Ask how many yards that is? I was not sure how much I would need cause I am a little chubby so I wanted to make sure I had a enough fabric to do all the cool ties I wanted to do with my 2 year old.

  • @gracistabu I have a basic sewing machine not fancy at all! I started by measuring 29 inches down the middle using a sewing flexable measuring tool that is 60 inches in length, mine came with my sewing machine but I am sure you can buy one at Walmart or At Joans while your there. Use a pen to mark all the way down the middle then cut with sharp scissors till you have two pieces of equal length and width.

  • @gracistabu Sew them together so it is one long piece of fabric; using the small zig zag option on your sewing machine. Go back and forth many times to make sure it can hold the weight of your baby as it grows. Try it on, wrap your baby then see how much fabric is extra on the ends that you don’t need and cut it off equally. Finally sew all four sides by folding it in an inch with same zig zag; so the fabric does not unravel while in use or once you put it into the washing machine.

  • @gracistabu I hope this was helpful, Crystal

  • @araulm Thank you very much that was very helpful. I am planning on getting some fabric for this very soon!

  • ah sorry just saw you already responded to this question before... sorry!

  • the way you have it secured seems really good, would this work with a moby?

  • excellent instructions and very well made video!!! thank you! this is a great service to all baby-wearers.

  • I loved it what is the width and leght of this sling.

    Thanks for sharing.

    I enjoyed it.

  • The wrap is 4.6 meters long. :)

  • i do not recommend using a stretchy wrap for this or any other back carry. A woven wrap is much more secure!

  • Great video! Do you think this would be safe with a stretchy wrap or do you only reccomend a woven wrap? Thanks. :)

  • @noblemishleft from what I read everywhere this should only be done with a woven one, not a stretchy wrap like the moby because they can flip out of it.

  • This is fantastic!!! Thanks so much for sharing this!!!

  • yr lil boy is funny lol "protesting", but actually luving it lol

  • would this work with a six month old you think?

  • @ammccarter yep! if you and your baby are new to back carries just be extra careful and work with a spotter. :)

  • so what kind of fabric is this and where did you get it? i have the moby wrap and i love it but its not safe with the back wrap. Thankyou! I love your video by the way! Great job showing how to do it

  • @taygansmom It's a Didymos brand woven wrap. Storchenwiege, BB Slen and Neobulle are some other great brands of woven baby wraps.

  • @taygansmom It's a Didymos brand woven wrap. Storchenwiege, BB Slen and Neobulle are some other great brands of woven baby wraps. there are many places to get baby wraps online, couple of my favorites are bebewearingmamas and pieceofcloth.

  • very simple!

  • I send your video to all mamas who are just starting out with their wraps - it is an awesome carry for newbies, because you secure it right away with that chest knot and then just have to worry about the wrapping itself :)

    Thank you so much! :)

  • This is the most secure and best way I've ever seen! I've been looking all over places for a good method to put my baby on my back so I can do housework at home. Thanks!

  • So great! I am experienced with MT's and am expecting my first woven ( a linen blend Indio) and can't wait to try these back carries with my big man! (almost 25 pounds at 7 mths!). Thank you!!!

  • that was awesome, how old is ur baby? is this a moby wrap? my 15 months won't be so nice to help getting like that, but my 4 1/2 years old would love to do that.

  • i#ve tried this back carry today the first time with my daughter (20moth old) - love it! Ty so much!! ♥

  • what is the name of this technic? It's great...

  • i believe it's called the "secure high back carry", i didn't name it. :)

  • thank you :)

  • How much and what kind of fabric do I need? This video is great! Thank you!

  • cotton jersey fabric is what i used. i am 5'5 and about 130 lbs. I used 5 yards of the cotton jersey and cut it 21 inches in width. HTH

  • @brooklynthebaby I needed to correct my comment. A woven or cotton gauze is the only appropriate fabric to use because stretchy fabric gives too much andthe baby can flip out. :( I hope it's not too late for some.

  • Good work, much simpler than other methods for back carry

  • ooh thank you so much i just bought some fabric today to wrap with and this is one of the best back carry video's i've come across!

  • thanks for this video! does this back hold work with a moby wrap? that is what I have..

  • hi! i would not use a moby (or any stretchy wrap) for back carrying. you need a woven wrap. some brands of woven wraps: didymos, bb slen, girasol

  • hi Mama! what kind of didymos is this? it looks super grippy and supportive. TIA!

  • it's an all cotton Millefiori. i find it supportive!

  • beutiful back carry ! I will try it!! how much are you tall? I'm 1,76 : wrap 4'60 is ok , or I hav to buy a longer one?

    thank you!

  • a 4.6 should work for you! check out the didymos website! :)

  • @zabbygrl thanx mama! i'll have to keep that wrap in mind when i can afford to add another to my small stash. & thanx for the video too! i tried this w/ the LO yesterday & found it super easy to do & very supportive!

  • great! you're welcome!

  • this is a Didymos brand baby wrap. i wouldn't use a stretchy wrap. a woven wrap is much more supportive and secure.

  • What type of fabric did do you use?

  • This makes me really want to replace my mei tai with a wrap. We'll see what Santa brings... ;)

  • Do you think it would work to use a minsari (stretchy) for this? I carry my toddler on my back but I think the fabric passes over him more times than in this carry. Any advice?

  • This was SO helpful! Thank you!

  • Can you tell me what length your wrap is? Thank you.

  • The wrap is 4.6 meters. :)

  • Cute :)

  • Hi, this is a Didymos wrap...Didymos is a German company that makes wraps for carrying children (of course there are many other companies and brands as well). So I guess just search for Didymos in your country...and you will find some shop selling these wraps :-)

  • WHERE COULD I GET THE WRAP ???

  • I like the way you wrap. Out of all the videos I've seen. My son really likes this one the most too!!! Thanks for showing it to us :)

  • Thank you, this finally makes sense!
