RedRabby,,,,Your's is the best video and best designed fuel still I have seen. I have been searching for this ever since seeing a video of a crude oil still in Indonesia and another in Africa. I was amazed at the simplicity,,,however the dangers of the way they did it scared the heck out of me. You have created a much safer design. Brilliant Man,,,truly brilliant. I love it and want again to congratulate you for your design.
If it flames like that it's almost like gasoline meaning high octane as far as I understand high octane will wear out your rings. I am just sturting to run on staright wmo. and 10% kero to thin it. I wonder if anyone knows how to test wmo for heavy metals?
wow thanks I found your very well detailed mini 2 steps to making diesel. I didnt realize it was that simple. Thanks man! Now I am on my way to giving the gas companies my middle finger. F*ck all you gas companies cause now I have the secret 2 step formula Thanks to this video presenter. As easy as 1, 2 (oh forget about step 3, its not needed)!!!!
There was English commentary with this video, but i removed it because it sounded stupid! you have to remember that English is not my native language. I can read and write it very well, but speaking English is a different story!
Very cool. Have you tried distilling the fuel at around 300F to see if any of it is in the gasoline range. I would think this would be similar to making fuel from plastic where you would be breaking the hydrocarbons down into randomly smaller chains ranging from tars to butane, methane and natural gas even.
I know for sure that there is some gasoline in the stuff that comes from the condenser. It lights right away if I put a match to it. What is the best place to measure the temperature? In the boiling oil itself or in the vapours above the oil? I have a thermocouple so I have a possibility to measure temperature, but I need to know where to do that.
This is too complicated for me. I personally use a centrifuge. 3 times repeat filtering proces and get totally clean black diesel (still black but clean). I wore a sample to the laboratory, and they found particles of metal from 0,01 to 0,05 microns, which is irrelevant. The amount of 200 liters clears with centrifuge about for 3 hours.
I have seen cars run on straight wmo. They run just fine without any problem. The only disadvantage is that the viscosity is not that of diesel. Distilling the oil will lower the viscosity and is easier for the fuel pump and injectors, Also you do not need fuel-line heaters or a 2 tank system
I use a mix 50-50. I generally do not use additional heaters or double fuel tank. Only in winter reduce the mix 70-30 and works great. It is a Wolksvagen Passat 1.6d 1986.
@Redkrabby You should put the thermomether at the top of the condenser, just below the place were the condensed fumes are taken off the condenser. The temperature should go high and plateaus at the boiling point of what you are recuperating.
No pain, no gain! No guts, no glory! But serious now....there is only very little fuel in the boiler and also there is only a very little bit in the container that pumps it to the boiler. The boiler is made of very heavy steel and welded in the right way. So the chance of a explosion is not that big. But I agree....I have to be very careful and so is anyone trying this for himself. So again to everyone who want to try this...
What percentage of diesel do you obtain from wmo ? . Thanks

What kind of gaskets are between metalic parts????

@sunmoon441122
I use high pressure gaskets made from grafite. They use them for high pressure steam. I did not have any problems with them (yet)
