  • which is better an action replay max or an action replay v1.14

  • do u have action replay max or action replay max evo

  • Could you us any mem cards for it????

  • Can you...what? "Use"? No. You need the hardware. With these older ones.

  • Q: How can you find the Action Replay game at?

  • A: You may find it used or you may have to find a copy online (like ebay for example). Though this isn't a game, but rather software in a sense that you use with a game.

  • What is the latest version of action replay gamecube(the kind your playing, not the one that can also work on the wii)? Is it v.1.14? And if you have a save file for an older version with codes put in your memory card, Can you bring them over to the save file on the newer version in the memory card now or do you have to re-enter them all?

  • My action rEplay hardware is out of space. Do you know how i make more space

  • i found the error in the first code.First line where you put ''2D1Z6'' suppose to be ''2D16Z''

  • OMG SO YOU CAN'T EVEN ADD GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • did your come with ssbm

  • when i finish the code how to i enter it so it saves i press done and it wont do anything nor start i entered it correctly and i have the m code in the right region

and the game version is right

  • I a lot of people don't seem to catch this, but when you finish entering a code you need to hit "done" repeatedly until the virtual keyboard goes down, or an error pops up. You have to see "....-....-....." when you hit done so that it can verify the code.

If it doesn't save after that, check to see if Autosave it turned off.

  • @Saestrol What is the latest version of action replay right now?

  • buy the keyboard it goes even faster lol, and is a blast with pso

  • I don't know if it's because I have an old version (version 1.08), but nothing I enter as a code works. I've checked and checked again, and they're correct. It does this thing where when I press 'done' it takes me back to the first line of the code for about 2 seconds before going back to the one I was on, and if I just keep pressing done I get the "data is invalid" popup. It's impossible to even save the codes. I'm trying to enter codes for Twilight Princess, which is a newer game than my AR.

  • Hmm... I can only offer a few suggestions. Checking the region you selected (US = US Flag, etc.). And maybe double/triple checking the codes as entered.

If the game is newer than the Action Replay, did you enter the (M) code for TP? The (M) code also has to be the correct region. I haven't used mine in while and I'm just going from memory here, but I think even the older versions should work with newer games, provided the codes are still correct.

  • you know your codes didn't work because there are no

    zeros in codes

  • I have Action Replay version 1.14. I thought I could add a NEW GAME to the list if the game wasn't normally on the list. But I don't see ANY options for how to add a new GAME. All I see is options to add a new code for the existing games that are currently on the disc. Can you add a new GAME that isn't already on the Action Replay (like on Gameshark)?

  • Yes. Just scroll to the top of the game list and add a new game.

Make sure you add your game in the correct region.

  • @Saestrol I read that you know some places where you can find the Gamecube action replay version 1.14. I checked Amazon.com and Ebay, but neither have it. Can you tell me a place I can find the Gamecube action replay version 1.14?

  • People reply on the weirdest comments...

I just checked ebay as of this comment and found a few (expensive, mind you). They aren't the Max version, but they still allow code entry. Conditions change so you have to keep checking to see where one will pop up.

Remember: this version is not being made anymore. There is no way you'll find at some store. You have to look at a secondhand option, or online.

  • Lol I bought mine brand new of ebay for £12 with free p and p

  • will v1.2 not work?

  • I have a question: Can I use the Action Replay Memory card to store data from games on to it, like if I wanted to start a new game can I use the AR memory card to save the game on?

  • I do just that, so I think you can too.

  • @Saestrol Thanks

  • when i put in the master code for a new game it always say code for diffrent game

  • You most likely are using the Master Code for the game in a different region like a PAL code (i.e. Master Code for Super Mario Sunshine in the US is not the same as the one in the UK). Make sure you look for NTSC Master Codes.

  • is ar case senitive?

  • is this regular ar or ar max. i have the new one it sucks

  • WOW! You released this on my birthday! July 11th. Thanks man!

  • I wish you could attatch a keyboard to this T_T

  • Does Action Replay GC already have codes on it for games before someone puts on their own codes?

  • Yes. It would suck to have to manually input over 30,000 codes by oneself...

  • my ar is not like this it is a white screen with games do i have old or new version because all the vids i saw cam with a memory card and myn did not so can i add codes with no memory card and wha version do u think or no i have

  • I don't know. I'm not sure which version has a white screen. If you don't have a memory card, then entering codes isn't possible. either that or you have the new version, without code entry.

  • @skullreaction that is the new one

  • i have a ar for gamecube i gus got and it doesnt look likke this version at all its a white screen and just says games and it didnt come with a memory card so do i have the old or new version and can i put codes on it because it didnt come with a memory card

  • I've been using this Action Replay for a while, and I've had no problems at all. However, in Action Replay Central, I came across a code for a game that was not in the same format.

    Ex:

    04079D24 4BF891DC

    04002F00 C0030000

I, for the life of me, have not been able to figure out how to enter this kind of code, versus the usual Four digit - Four digit - Five digit format. I've attempted to google it and youtube it to no end, and have found no results. Is it possible to enter in said format?

  • That code is in the RAW format. You have to find a way to get that code converted from RAW to Action Replay Strings. I'm not sure how, though most of the time, that kind of code is usually a duration modifier where you input a value to replace "X" and then convert for example..

  • @Saestrol

Thanks! All it took was a quick google search and I found a direct link to a converter. (I tried to provide the link, but apparently Youtube won't allow URLs in comments now)

And the reasons behind keeping it in raw format make perfect sense; there, in fact, was a line a code in which there were variables. Thanks again for your help!

  • I found a 40 line code!

  • is this action replay max

  • does action replay for gamecube work on nintendo wii if so someone tell me.

  • when you are finished with the code how do you make it enter and be fiished i click done and it just gives me another line

  • Hit "Done" again, until it accepts it, or gives you an error.

  • Put the hardware (AKA the memory card it came with) into Slot B. Makes sense doesn't it?

  • Hard to get??? I bought this off ebay like 2 days ago and I am using it right now. It only coasted $60. But there's still more of them on ebay so if anyone wants one then go there.

  • Lmao, Yeah I don't know why I did capital letters in each word, but anyways thanks for responding, I think i'm going to get the blue one because it's the only one I can find. 1 last question what is the memory card used for?

  • Um... "Hardware updating... Please Wait..."

AR won't get anywhere without that.

  • Nice Video. 1 Question I Need a Action Replay Memory Card Because My Disc Came Without 1. There is One That Say's Action Replay Max and It's Silver The Other 1 Say's Action Replay and It's Blue and The Last One I Saw Was The Purple One It Say's Action Replay In The Middle Same as The Blue 1. Please Respond To Me I Need To Know ASAP

  • Capital letters in every word? Holy handcrank...

But basically, you want to know which one to get right? Well you can go for the black card with a purple "AR Action Replay" mark on the front. This is the one I use and it's done the job. It may or may not matter. I think the MAX one just has more space, but again, just speculation.

  • is this the action replay max???

  • 0:05 What That Sound

  • Sum1 plz help when i put my disk in' it doesn't let me enter codes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

    plz help1111111111111111

  • Looks like someone forgot to read the description...

  • Hey

    thanks so mutch Mate ^^

I use the Action Reaplay Launcher (WII) for SSBM PAL and search for the Debug Menue Cheat and ti works ^^

Thanks for the Good Tutorial ^^

  • So your saying if I get gamecube action reaply that works on wii i cant enter codes?

  • I don't know what to do.

  • what version is this? please reply

  • I have the Action Replay game, GC version for Wii, I got this and Action Replay Runs on Homebrew Channel without a disk and without a Action Replay memory card, just the Game Cube memory card. I LOVE ACTION REPLAY! (I hate to write codes)

  • man!!! i just got a action replay for my gamecube but its not the one in the video and i cant add codes this is upseting but on the bright side better then nothing right? (how come some of my codes are on when i never even played the game?)

  • i look on ebay but it only has the new ones. is there anyother place to get it?

  • i need help cause whenever i put the disc in & close it it says ERROR DISC.i downloaded ar 1.14 & put it on my sd media launcher.can u please help?

  • I can't help with something I have not done myself. You downloaded it and used SD Media launcher... I don't know what that is.

  • how can you tell between o and 0 on that lol

  • It's easy. Codes will avoid the use of the letter 'O' specifically to avoid confusion.

  • Comment removed

  • i hav the new action replay, but i cant open it till christmas =P

  • I got a max 4 only 29.99 because my 9 year old friend thought it was just a regaler AR but it was a MAX!!

  • where did you get it?

  • wait, scratch that last message-they showed pictures of the max version on amazon

  • @gabelossus My friend gave it to me 4 $29.99 because he got his on 2007 and he didnt want it any more so nowadays there expensive and rare

  • I have 1.13 for GC, and for the life of me I CANNOT enter codes...trying to enter codes for Paper Mario:Thousand Year Door, and after I type in Name of Code and its entries, I hit B..cause theres nothing else to hit to accept. then when I look at the code it says it has NO entries....HOW do I do it?

  • No man, don't hit B! That will erase/cancel the code.

What I was doing in the video was pushing the "Done" key on the virtual keyboard. When you are finished, press it until the code is entered, or unless you get an error.

  • What Version Do You Got I Got V1.14B. 1.14B Is The Reg. Disc V1.14A Is The AR Max But Sometimes the reg. disc can be v1.08

  • I must have 1.14A. That is what it shows when I bring up the help dialogue and it has the full functionality.

  • sizeable cash to obtain my butt man. u can get this from lots of sites for 34.99 lmfao its not tht rare so stop acting like it is. and im talking about the old version.

  • Maybe where you live it isn't hard to get, but where I live, good luck getting 1 for less than $60

  • o. my bad dude i didnt realize u live some where diffrent. i gotto remeber prices range vary of the state.

  • oh yah, and wtf is the diffrent from MAX EVO and regular action replay? (OLD VERSION)

  • I really don't know the big differences. It seems to have a different way to store the codes from what I know.

  • the ones on ebay cost over $1.10

  • sorry i meant to say $110.00

  • wheere can u buy action replay i checkes evrywhere but i cant find one replay back

  • you can buy it at amazon

  • yea i did tht but when i did it they rip me off instaed those ppl gave me the action replay from datel and i order the one with the max cd on it with memory card

  • ok dont get mad but what ur saying is i spent like 50 bucks on version 1.2 and i cant even add cheats on it

  • I think I got the same AR as you it is also called limited edition you can only add codes that go up to six lines

  • sorry, but how to make these blue annotations?

  • When you edit your video, go to the section marked "Annotations"

Choose the colour and shape when you place it on the video.

  • no xD

the annotations on the AR, at 0:15 you can see (Press d-up, p2=p1, p3=p2, p4...

i forgot to mention that I'm a 13 years old guy from Brazil,so my english should be very bad :((

  • Oh. That is an annotation... sort of. Basically, if you start to put in a code, but you only give it a name (or you cancel entering a code), then the spot will be left in a bright teal blue colour. You can use these to make little notes or placeholders without them being codes.

Some code-lists in certain games have them from the manufacturer. They can be used to make a little message like "Don't use in a special stage" or something under the code it corresponds to.

  • Oh i got the hang of it, thanks

  • Yeah, um this is a REALLY random question. But how do you make videos like that. I used to make videos of filming my tv. But it sucks. So I really wanna know how tooo.

Andddd I bought the new action replay not knowing I can't add codes. I was sooooo madddd.

Yeah...I want the old action replay.

  • Use a capture card... or a DVD recorder.

  • I still have this but it won't work on my Wii. I guess it still works on Gamecube. I HAVE to try it.

  • How come when i add codes the it scrolls down to section 2? It wont lemme finish entering the code lolz

  • Here is the flow:

    {ADD NEW CODE]

Here you put in the code's name. Make it describe what the code does.

    Press the "done" key.

Now enter the code. The Yellow Dots turn into zeros and you fill them in with each line of the code. When you have finished entering the code, press the done key twice (once to go to a new line, twice to confirm)

Code should now be added to your list.

  • Yea i do that but then it scrolls down to the second line, I think its because this is the action replay version that doesnt let you add new games with new codes, you can only add new codes to a game alredy loaded on there =/

  • If you can't add new codes, then the option wouldn't even appear.

Simple method: when you finish entering a code, press the "Done" button repeatedly until you get an error or it confirms.

  • Lemme buy off plz D: TT^TT for umm.... i guess 60$?

  • i found one on Austrian ebay ,it was so beautiful but i couldn't get it ,i don't have a credit card and i begged my parents to get it cause the auction was closing in 1 hour

  • Same problem

  • I was bidding on AR v1.14 yesterday on eBay but I lost at the last minute. I'm very mad.

  • Its not that hard to get one, They sell a few of them in stores where I am, and on Ebay there are a few. (The Old AR)

  • umm theres an app for the original GCN action replay, but you have to hack your wii to use it ^^;

  • Tell me about this....xD

  • im bad at explaining stuff but theres a vid on youtube about how to install it. its in the featured video catogory thing xD

and you DON'T need that memory card that came with the original AR.

  • Wait, Would I have to chip my gamcube or do anything to it?

  • no you wont have to chip you gamecube or antything. all you need are the files, the homebrew channel, an SD card and reader and BOOM! you have AR....on the wii xD

  • I can't then, My Wii wont connect to my Wifi stick anymore.

  • you can download the files ON the comp then add them to the sd card xD

  • I don't have an SD card XD

  • then borrow it from a friend. we should stop spamming the comments XD

  • None of my friends own one, xD Anyway where is the video?

  • watch?v=WOQTGQHGVXc&feature=related here...

  • Thanks :)

  • lol got one of these 4 christmas

    v1.13:)

  • i bought the wii and got pissed then bought the 1.14 i spend 90.00 dollers

  • I'm SO glad I bought a good action replay for my gamecube before Wii came out. :o

  • i had an older one than this!! but i sat on it and it broke about 2 years ago ._. (no im not fat..it was just a mistake lol)

  • go to gamestop to find it for $20.00

  • i burned it

  • do u need some sort of special action replay memory cards because i hate it

  • Yes. This one comes in two parts: The disk and the hardware.

The hardware, which is like a long black memory card containing the logo on it, is needed to save codes and interact with the Gamecube internally. If you do not have the hardware, AR will not work.

If it works without the Hardware, you have a newer version.

  • I'm So Fucking Lucky!!! I won A Bid For One of these Old ones Yesterday On Ebay And Im so Happy :D

  • My action replay enter disc, error no disc

    repary

  • Say what?

  • i was supposed to get v1.14

of action replay gc on amazon,

but they ripped me off and gave

  • Are you telling me you watched the video and STILL don't know what to do?

That's not good. Because normally you could be "done" in a minute or less with one line codes.

  • where did u get urs please anwer

  • Ebay.

Just like many other people here...

  • Hey where can you find this product other than Ebay or Amazon PLEASE HELP

  • Wat is the name of this action Replay????????????? Where can i find it ?? sum1 plz help!

  • Geez, did you totally miss the description?

Name is in the title. How to find it is really up to you because of how rare this version is

  • I have this ar on my wii and ... it works ! ! !

(message me,if you want to know) ^^

  • who do you get action replay 1.14?? some one plz plz tell me how to get one plz comment

  • Person must have skipped the description...

    Good luck to you buddy.

  • Yup, I got version 1.14 (I believe it was 1.14B). I'm glad I bought it about 3 yrs ago as it seems to be a rare find nowadays.

Btw, entering codes is a chore. Really, I prefer using the built-in codes. However, those codes are only up-to-date until 2005 or so. Obviously, I'd still have to input them for all newer games. Oh well... perhaps someday someone will create a code to disable the timer in the demos of Sonic Gems Collection (JPN). I surely hope so!

  • so how do i get this working on the wii

  • Only method I know of is using AR 1.2 to Freeload Ar 1.14. I don't even know if that works 100%.

Some Action Replays no longer work on the Wii due to updates.

  • oh crap, i just figured out that i have the action replay v1.08 its the same as the 1.14 but it doesnt have as many games =(

  • You may have to make a new list for games you want to add to that version. The master (m) code for the game you want to add is the first code you enter.

    The "Must be On" code.

  • oh, but how do i do it?, i go under a different game and i just add the m code, then it replaces it with the old game? or is it a different way?... uhhhh... sorry about so many replies! XD

  • That's not too many replies, trust me.

When you see the big list of all the games, you need to go to the one that says "Add new Game". Enter the name of the game the codes will be for, then you put in the Master Code.

  • woooooww, i just noticed the add new game thing, anyways THANKS SO MUCH!

  • i always use the control stick and it goes to fast then i always mess up XD

  • WTF? my cursor for the ....-....-.....

mavos on its own and dosnt stop, why dose it do that?

  • This happens because of the C-Stick sensitivity. For some reason, AR is VERY sensitive to movements on the C-stick. (In fact I was fighting with it a lot during this video).

Try to keep the movements small. If you make a mistake, try just tilting (not tapping) C or use the backspace on the Virtual Keyboard.

A Bonus annoyance is that when the C-Stick is moving around, the D-Pad doesn't cooperate very well so it can be quite annoying when you put in the big codes (20-32 lines especially... ugh.)

  • i dont even touch it tho. but if its sensitive then i gots to deal with it T_T

cause i trying to put in a 31,000,000 ring code for SA@B and it very annoying....

  • the code didnt have 31,000,000 lines THANK GOD!

  • 2*lol

  • can you add more than 1 (m) master code

  • I don't think Action Replay will let you. Even if it did, there really isn't any reason to have more than one master code.

If you do need to use a different Master Code (some games and codes cases call for this), then simply create a new game list instead. If it's for a same game, then mark it off as something like "SSBM v1.2" for example.

  • well i found a site with codes and typed master code and next day i found a diffrent site and i like the codes but i need a diffrent master code so they work but i dont want to delete one i want both codes from diffrent site to work

  • Alright, then make a new game code list:

    "(Name of Game Here) Alt."

And then enter that new master code in there. You can use that list for the other codes, but keep the old code list for all the first ones.

  • ok but i added resident evil 4 (m)master code for the codes to work on the site. But they have no walk through walls code i found it at a diffrent site but I need a diffrent (m)master code so the walk through walls cheat. But I have a master code for other cheats and im wondering if i could put 2 master codes in the game plz help

  • Just chill for a second and consider what I have been saying.

You can only use one master code for the game at a time. adding two or more is not going to work at all. (In fact, the (m) code is always active so adding a second is no good).

When you go to the code list, you scroll until you see the game you want right? Like this:

    Resident Evil 4

What I suggest is to make a new set of codes for that game:

    Resident Evil 4

    Resident Evil 4 (Alt.)

Then go into "Alt." and use that other (m) code.

  • there is a easy way just get a sd media launcher a sd card then go to megaupload download ar 1.14 put on sd card and play on cube/wii

  • and were i can find an ARv1.14 ?

  • or better...how and were i can find a a Download of The AR v1.14 software for then putting on my sd Media launcer...because i tried to find on Magaupload and there's no shit...if you have it please tell me how to fond it and how to install it on my SD media launcher.... please...<:'C

  • I was trying to get this version & I got the wrong one & it sucks.

  • i cant view the discriptsion because whenever I try it won't let me

  • The only reason I could think of why that's happening is because the page probably didn't load properly.

Try reloading. It's important to read the description for this video in particular.

  • I got the last one at gamestop :D

  • what does the ar look like

  • This sucks I got a ar to get a tails chao and it wont let me add codes to get one...:(

  • same here =[

  • you know, i really wouldnot mind the new action replay at all, but.....FOR LOVE OF GOD PUT ALL CODES IN THAT ARE ON THE INTERNET!!!!!

  • HOORAY! i finally got one off of ebay gracias hezeus!
