There are so few of us who can become of a moment, of space--absent of time, and then be presented with options that become in this act of creation--great art--because the work is endowed with one's soul. Oh! To have known Anthony and had the chance to FEEL--while discussing his art--all that he became in the doing of IT--as we became of one sublime space in the great flow of play.
Bless Anthony Minghella. He will always be remembered for his significant contributions to the film world. I personally will always remember him for the most beautiful production of Madame Butterfly, 2006 - NYC.
What a loss to the British film industry...such a gifted writer and film maker. I find it very spooky that in his first film 'Truly Madly Deeply' Jamie dies during a routine examination of his throat and then Minghella dies from a secondary haemorrhage(probably due to infection) following a wide excision of his tonsils - I felt the hairs stand up on my head when I heard of how he died, almost as though he inadvertently predicted his own death more than 12 years ago.
