So what happens when your ex wife is a dead beat and she stays unemployed voluntarily, the FOC impute her as minimum wage but for some reason don't obligate her to pay for the support of her own child? How does that help with the health and lively hood of my child when I have do the raising myself and work on top of going to school full time?? Double standard. Anti-male bias.
This is kinda old - but how about if a non custodial parent who previously didn't work (stay at home mom) decides that she will not work and instead pursue an education? How would imputed income line up there as she is qualified for child care jobs that in the state of NY is paying between $15 and $25 dollars an hour. Also the fact that she is perusing an education degree seems to support the qualification.
Not to mention ' debtors prison ' people think it was outlawed but its alive and well.... people go to jail for not paying child support shouldnt they also go to jail for failure to repaying any debt ?
