I think that Light would just corrupt L, and if he didn't it would end badly because in the story they're similar in ways that would clash, and opposites in ways that would make them hate one another (That is, if L knew the Light behind the Light he thinks he knows). On surface level, though, they're adorable :P I just can't get past the fact that I hate Light

If the author of the series ever gets upset because of this, it's because of the handcuffs thing. That gave us the Idea.
