  • Where Love Doesn't Reach is a different music than that.

  • look at 13. look at 9. look back at 13. unfortunately, 13 is not 9. but--no. 13 and the rest of the ps2 ff's will never compare to the beauty and simple magic of this game.

  • That makes me cry every fuckin' time...

  • sigh, why is it that my favorite songs from the PS1 FF games are all only played once in the entire game?

In FF7 it was On the other side of the mountain

In FF8 it was Compression of time

And in FF9 it was this piece

    o_O

Oh well, at least they were all wonderful :)

  • @OffensiveMark Actually, this song plays twice. Once when Eiko's reflecting on how stubborn Zidane is about Garnet, once when the Genomes are introduced to the Black Mages.

The thing is, the first time, it's so short an appearance, and is followed by the conclusion of the misplaced love letter fiasco. Which still strikes me as anything BUT romantic. Especially regarding Beatrix and Steiner!

  • Fuck!!!the best ever from ffix... makes me feel so sad :(

  • FF9 the last FF master piece for PS1

  • @KaiserVadin

FF9 the last FF master piece period.

  • @jomiie FFX is ok too, not a real FF but its still ok.

  • @jomiie there will be another one trust me Squarenix just needs to have there fans stop buying FF games then FF7 should happen again ...

  • Honestly Enix wasn't a bad company, they made the Star Ocean series, and the Dragon Quest series. Enix tends to keep their games similar, the Dragon Quest series has barely changed over the years, if anyone is making the games completely different it's Square. The real issue is that all the Final Fantasy games have different development teams, which causes them to have many inconsistencies and changes.

  • Quoted from the wiki - "A merger between Square and its competitor Enix was in consideration since at least 2000; however, the financial failure of the movie Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within made Enix hesitant to join with a company which was losing money, and the merge was delayed until April 1, 2003, when the two companies finally merged to form Square Enix."

  • Eiko: So, there's only room for Dagger in Zidane's heart...Ahh! Zidane! I hate you! You Insensitive fool! You don't even know how I feel.

  • @958933 It'd be awesome if they could make a PREQUEL with how Zidane got into Tantalus, or Baku through his teenage years.

  • :´(

  • Absolutely amazing. If I could erase any of my memories then it would be the memory of playing all these Final Fantasy games. Just so I could play them all again for the first time.

  • Could anyone be so kind and remind me where/which disc this music is played at?

    Thanks

  • @Viltgance1 Beginning of disc 4 in Black Mage Village after the crew escapes Terra.

  • The guy who disliked this was just disliking it to be spiteful.

  • i truly feel sorry for kuja. he was, in all honesty, one of my favorite characters. it took him all his life to find acceptance, and the only one who ever really cared about him was zidane. he never fell in love, or laughed, or cried. he never got to live his life.

  • I played 7, didn't finish it because I got stuck and didn't really care for it. 8 was good to me because it was one of the first FF games I ever completed so yeah I liked it, but still didn't really appeal to me.

I thought 9 would be just too upbeat, however as it went on to Disc 3 and 4, I was swept away and saw that this is one of the perfect example of RPGs. FF IX will stand out to me as my second fave FF game and one of the best games I ever played.

  • Eiko feels sad and depressed :'(

  • @EndlessSorrow25 I kno how you feel :) but don't worries!

  • i wish endless sorrow on the one person who disliked this

  • FF9's music beats all of the other game's music I had played before

  • @kyuzona did you know that Uematsu even traveled to Europe and visited castles and other places in order to get inspiration for the FF9 soundtrack?

  • This game is one of the few RPGs that stuck in my memory and my heart...

I still remember the story really well although i haven't played this game for over 7 or 8 years... the newer RPGs unfortunately don't come even close

  • @faurelg Yeah, newer RPGs are really not as good, when i want to play a really good RPG, i just go play Final fantasy 7 or 9.

  • I don't remember much music these days, but any of these songs instantly make me remember the exact moment.

  • Notice the beast qualities of this ong how it has NOT ONE DISLIKE!

  • amazing song <3

  • ITS fantastick !! :)

  • Come on Zidane!! YOU GOT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Heeey. This also plays when Eiko realizes that Zidane still loves Dagger even though she's queen. Man, the sequence in this game is awesome:):):)

  • @REMITAL1

    Isn't that 'Unrequited Love'?

  • I never beat it never did. Couldnt get past the 4 armed snake guy on disk 4.

  • Damn I NEED TO GET THIS GAME AGAIN.

  • This theme is a tribute to the last real Final Fantasy

  • ps1 final fantasy games where brilliant!i know some of the older ones on the nes where great but the ps1 games had the perfect blend of graphics, music, gameplay and story telling! its actually sad that some people argue saying stuff like VII was shit, VIII is the best! or, theyre all crap apart from VII! i love all the final fantasy's that came out on the psone and i fell bad for the people who dont! i love the nostalgic feeling i get when i listen to all these song!it makes me a lil sad tho

  • @yiprajosie085 I dunno, 7 was epic, 8 is the first game I ever played that I didn't finish, hated it, and 9 was wonderful but really lost its way toward the end.

  • @StewNWT yeah i played 8 the first time and didn't finish it then came back to it a year or so later and loved it, done the same with this one played it didn't like it at first then came back to it later and loved it! 7 was amazing start to finish! 10 was great as well but it all went down hill after that!

  • @StewNWT I think 7 is pretty overrated, especially cause it hasn't aged well, and 8 was a mess, but 9 is still pretty damn good even with its weaknesses.

  • @shockraid1 Hrm well not too many PS1 games in general have aged well - this was the early polygon age and they all sort of look like someone's bad craft project now lol. But FFVII is still a blast to play through, great story (though poor final dungeon). 8 just had terrible characters, a god awful story (all the protagonists just FORGOT they lived together at the same orphanage as children?) and a horrible interface with the junction system, and lack of equipment.

  • @StewNWT actually, the use of summons takes your memories. according to storyline anyway. just look up ff 8 on wiki.

  • @blankfaceisclaimed yes I know what the game's plot explanation for it but that doesn't make it any less retarded lol

  • @shockraid1 9 the first disc was absolutely brilliant. I have to say the game really went downhill with the intro of the super lame villain (wearing a freaking thong) Kuja. Also, for a plot that had great potential with Garland as a malevolent hand on history (sort of like the FF XII spirits) it really fell apart near the end. But I did love FFIX's equipment and skills system, and the fact that the characters were actually different. Plus with its music it just had so much charm.

  • IREN CABRO_ES DIGAN LOQUE DIGAN ESTE ES UN VIDEO JUEGO NO CHINGADERAS

  • Sounds like the music that plays in FF7 when Red XIII finds his petrified father.

  • @snakeviper008 Well, Most of the Final Fantasy music is wrote by the same man.

  • Freya: They've only just begun to live their lives..."

Armarant: "...Can lost time be recovered?"

Freya: "I don't know...But there's one thing we can do."

    Armarant: "Of course."

Freya: "We must protect them from anyone who tries to take their time away from them!"

  • @kira8675309 Probably one of the best moment of Disc 4

  • @NeoArashi yes it is. its my favorite scene from the game :)

  • @kira8675309 Damn man, sometimes I have doubts about why I am the way I am, then I remember I grew up on this stuff, and I remember why these fantastical and theatrical tendencies towards doing good guide my thoughts and actions. It's because I grew up learning not only to do good thanks to Final Fantasy, but to do it in such a way that you can hear your own, inspirational and slightly melancholy, self-sacrificial theme song playing when you do it. Thank you for reminding me :)

  • @Skyshattered This is how I always feel. I've learned so much from final fantasies. The various themes from each of the games has taught me a lesson in morality. I don't need a reason to help people (zidane). I know not to ever let the dream end (tidus/yuna). I've learned to put my trust in friends (cloud/squall). I learned that when life get's tough, I need to just look on the bright side and sit down and drink my God damn tea! (Cid). You guys get what I mean

  • w8 when does this song play again? i don't recall it.

  • @13AxelRoxas

I believe it plays when Zidane's brothers and sisters are at the Black Mage Village to live

  • @Mrsjonas4now It plays before Steiner and Beatrix find the love letter written by Eiko, too

  • @Toghebon really? I totally didnt know...guess I'll have to pay more attention and listen closely! :D

  • Best final fantasy game.. Ever!

  • This sounds like it came straight out of Lost Oddesy (Done by square Soft/enix)

  • i just bought this recently and i was wondering if it would work on ps2 ,it does not see to work the disks look brand new but it hasnt been playing can any one tell me whats up with that

  • @spikergun1

    Normally it works on PS2

  • @spikergun1 it works because i play mine from the PS2 console however your reader(the lil thing inside the PS2 that reads the disks) may be wearing out. I know mine is a bit worn out as well because i sometimes have to play a PS2 game for a while before i can play FF9 or something else. Maybe you should try that

  • Black Mages village, with the Terra people.

Feels like all the people of this village is doomed since before their birth :'-( .

  • I love it!

But I can't remember when you can hear this song in the game

  • @MrBoutade Disk 4, at the very start.

  • Simply amazing

    that was beautiful

  • FF 9 had the best of everything out of every game in the series anyone who has played it knows so why doesn't sony remake it instead of 7

  • @MaxAmplify i hope they don't, i wouldn't want my memories ruined by a remake. i can't see a way of it being any better than it is anyway :)

  • @xxCherryDropsxx i agree with you on that i think that they should just leave it as it is if anybody wants to see it go get the game and a ps1

  • @temarishikamaru1218 but you have to admit it deserves a remake more than 7

  • @Ernesto9IL VII needs a remake more than IX. But IX deserves a remake more than VII. How do we solve this dilemma?

  • @videogamer810 how about a game of Tetra master? :)

  • @xxCherryDropsxx My opinion exactly! All this "We need a remake"-Yelling is so..aaaaargh I can't even find a word for it. I for my part am very very very glad that these unrivaled masterpiece hasn't been spoiled by Square Enix, for we all know they ain't Squaresoft and wouldn't be able to reach even half the epicness amount Squaresoft was ablte to. So please, leave them be unrivaled masterpieces <3

  • this song makes me calm and a bit sad ;_;.

  • It's valentines day. :C

  • It definitely plays at the beginning of Disc IV, in bmv and I believe Vivi(not Zidane) was narrating there. Not too sure about it playing while Eiko was waiting at the dock, although even if it did it would only be for a few seconds because Baku shows up right away and changes the music to that more light-hearted humorous tone.

  • Doesn´t this remind you of some FF X song?

  • @D4mnYouSir Indeed it does. :)

  • @D4mnYouSir The real question is, does that FF X song sound similar to this? =-P

  • What part of the game does this song come from? I really want to know. Cos I completed the game when I was younger but I cant remember any of it except bran bal, pandemonium and Kuja's theme.

  • @DragosTheGod I'm not entirely sure, but I think it plays when Zidane and Garnet are in the BMV inn and Zidane talks about his past

  • @LWD12

It plays when eiko is waiting for zidane on the alexandrian dock (for the love letter her never found) and it played in the beginning of disk 4 with the genomes in the bmv.

  • @DoinkTonberry: it plays at the beginning of disc 4, when they're in the black mage village with the Genomes.

  • @fac0ffn00bz

    Yes i said that

  • @DoinkTonberry lol sorry i didnt notice.

  • @DragosTheGod I think it plays in Alexandria in disk 3 (Possibly a scene with Eiko and her love letter/Zidane thing), and in disk 4 at the beginning, with the Genomes in the Black Mage Village.

  • @AngelofSatire It's not the song with the love letter im sure of that but the Genomes thing seems pretty likely

  • @UnderWorldMaggot90

it plays when zidane is waiting for eiko. the song after it when they watch beatrix and steiner is called fool proof something or other

  • it's not a game... it's a life style__ gidan best

  • Where Love Doesn't Reach and endless sorrow are two different melodies...

    is not it?

  • I love this song, it's just wonderful... ~

  • beautiful. :)
