Saw this game live. If you look close, right at the 51 second mark, Brookbank loses a tooth. That was the 2nd coolest thing I've ever seent. 1st coolest was Marty Turco skating over an picking it up after the scrap.

yes, cause its a part of the game. hockey without figting is not that intense. for example the german league DEL is very lame.

I was going to say some shit about watching boxing or UFC if you really wanted to watch some fights, but your post makes enough sense for me not to. This doesn't have to turn into some sort of huge argument about hockey fights.

hockey without fighting is just lame. cant say it enough. for me fighting is not an entertainment part, its an important part of traditional hockey. cause it makes the game intense and so unique.

I cant compare it to fighting sports like boxing or UFC, cause its different. I dont wanna see that hockey becomes such a sell-off like soccer became in europe. its all about investors, money and advertising.

The only thing i think could pass for an excuse for the 'Kyle' thing. is that the Ducks media guys are intentionally giving him the roster and Barch's name is Kyle on that for his but Krystofer for everyone else's roster...

while I get the gist of your post..... these commentators get paid BIG money......they should have to do their job correctly....just like anyone else that works for a living....calling a player by the wrong name is amateurish.
