  • kinda random but what size is that exhaust tip? looks like 4x6x12?

  • 2 wheel drive?

  • Sounds almost like the riff from Disposable Heroes

  • this truck is perfect nice exhaust nice badass push bumper and none of that flashy shit that make a truck into a princess.

  • Hmmm ficm.?

  • @BIGMIKEFLYNT Nah. That's what a lot of ppl think bc it is usually what would cause something like this.

But my FICM pushes about 52v all the time. It was caused by a blockage to the HPOP causing the injectors to be starved of oil... *IT'S IN THE VID DESCRIPTION*

  • Nice truck

  • Comment removed

  • Ok honestly that sounds a bit more bad ass than any lope I've heard lol

  • @JStrickland4496 Thanks but it's not a true lope or on purpose. lol.

It's b/c I was having engine problems. But it's all fixed now.

The only time I will ever have a loping engine is if the injectors are MASSIVE and it lopes because of performance.

  • I've driven this bad ass truck. runs like a champ. you can see my white chevy in the garage in the background :D

  • can someone tell me why some guys with diesel trucks make them lope? does it help performance/economy at all? i know it aint to do with a huge lumpy cam like in an angry petrol motor... but thats all i know.

forgive me, but we don't have this big diesel scene in australia (and you'd wonder why - diesel economy seems a no brainer in such frickin big continent!?)

anyway, one day i gotta visit the states and canada - the trucks would be the icing on the cake :D

  • @MrHellyeah2010 haha. I didn't intentionally make my truck do this. But there are NO performance gains by having any engine (diesel or gas) engine lope. Loping is what happens when the engine has a lot of fuel going into the cylinder. Typically it's when an injector's nozzle is so large that the fuel doesn't spray. Instead it drips out at idle causing that choppiness

  • @06brokestroke oops stupid me i didn't even read the title lol. thanks mate, i've been curuoius about that, was beginning to think it was somehow beneficial. Sure sounds cool though!

  • Nice truck im in the market for a ford diesel a 6.0 powerstroke to be exact and I wanted to know how's the truck holding up for you. Any major problems to worry about. I was looking at 2005-07 f350 6.0 diesel and wanted to get some information from actual 6.0 diesel owners. I do a lot of towing.

  • @Fordman903 @Fordman903 they are great trucks and make good power for less money than other engines.

You have to know what you're doing though or you will break it and be like 90% of 6.0l owners who blame ford for the truck being "a worthless piece of crap"

Before buying, beef up your knowledge by reading some stuff on a forum. I've learned a ton.

    Google: "powerstroke forum"

  • I think 2wd look the best

  • sounds badass to bad it a 2wd but other than that nice truck

  • @RMZ250rockstar She's destined to be a road queen. I just don't have any $ right now... lol

  • haha you gotta admit it sounds pretty cool though idling like that!

  • @AJSFordMan I liked it for the sound, but did not like what it was doing to my injectors.. lol

  • @06brokestroke haha yea

  • what are the mods..... and how many miles are on her... u plan on keepin it till she keels over?

  • @znofxz read the info... it makes everyones life easier.

  • @06brokestroke Or you could just tell me considering your info says, "if you want a list of my mods, ask...... i'm too lazy to type them right now."

  • @znofxz I will apologize for that. I thought you were asking what was wrong with my truck.. And that annoys me. lol.

    BUT

    My engine mods are:

ARP studs, black MLS style headgaskets (I recommend the OEM Ford ones though), FirstCoastDieselPerformance EGR delete, DieselSite coolant filter, MBRP 5" turbo back straight pipe (It is now, but wasn't in this video), SCTx3 with Innovative tunes, and probably something else I'm forgetting..

Once again, sorry for being rude. That was my Bad

  • @06brokestroke naaah dont worry about it. If I were you I would hold on to this truck for a while. I'm sorry to hear she's giving ya trouble. WIth everything you have done to it, you really shouldn't have any more trouble. After sitting on the side of the road for 4 hours with a faulty egr cooler I decided to do a RCD egr delete on mine about 4 months ago. I'm told that just with the delete that will cut back on lots of the 6.0 probs. But with your setup..... Your good for a LONNGGG time

  • So what's wrong? Whats the FICM?

  • @caterpillarV8 nothin is wrong with it now.. but the FICM is a computer that controls the injectors.

  • Sounds lome a dragracer

  • hey what brand is your front bumper?

  • @KTMcharlie Frontier-Gear, extreme series.

    I love this thing

  • My 6.0 is doing the exact same thing. it recently happened. I start it and it runs realy realy ruff until the oil temp gets to normal temperature. Do u think i hav the same problem? How did u go about fixing it?

  • @powerstrokepwr

    It might be your FICM.

Take it to someone with a scanner and have them do a buzz test.

  • @06brokestroke it is most likely not his FICM. If the FICM is bad, the engine will run rough at ALL temperatures

  • @everynameistaken567

    reeeeeead the information.. lol

And wrong, the FICM can run worse during the cold rather than warm weather.

  • @06brokestroke I wasnt talking about your truck...I was responding to your comment about powerstrokepwr when you said his FICM is bad. He said that his truck only runs rough when its cold. If the truck runs perfectly fine when it is at normal operating temp, the FICM is not bad.

  • that sounds horrible. probably not the greatest to keep it running like that. Your gonna ruin your motor

  • @Baseballstud5964

good gosh, ppl like you annoy the crap outta me.. READ.. It's in the freaking info box for crying out loud!

If I'm smart enough to figure out how to fix it, I think I know it's not great to run it. DUUUH???

(sorry to rage on you. Just getting annoyed)

  • Damn! I'd be freaking out if mine did some shit like this.

  • haha sounds sweet but why did it idle perfect for like 30 secs?

  • @mister6sir

    That is a good question.

Not too sure. I'm thinking that it's b/c the oil that was able to get to the HPOP while it was off ran out, then it starved for oil. Once it was warmed up and the viscosity of the oil was high enough, it ran fine. :O lol

  • @06brokestroke Oh yea i forgot... cold... lol im in florida so i dont deal with that

  • um is that the turbo trying to blow or you got a bad head or something

  • @TheRedneckCowboys

Reeeeead (It's in the title).. It's b/c my HPOP wasn't getting enough oil.. These are oil driven injectors. So if they don't get oil, they don't fire.

  • so did u get it fixed? was it the FICM or no?

  • @everynameistaken567

No, it was a $15 screen that had collapsed that leads to the HPOP.. And these engines are oil driven so it wasn't getting any to the pump thus not getting any oil to the injectors and they wouldn't fire right..

I've put 2,000m since the fix and she still runs great. I was going to sell it but since it hasn't had ANY hiccups, I'm giving it another chance.. lol

  • @06brokestroke oh ok. im not really a fan of the HEUI system either. i guess thats why the 6.4s use a common rail design

  • @everynameistaken567

    yooouuuuuu got it. lol

  • i dk dude... i think this is BADASS!!

  • @znofxz lol.. i think so too

  • Have you gotten it figured out yet? It sounds like the IPR might be sticking, causing the ICP to go through the roof, which would cause an elevated Rpm and choppy running. To me (and I'm not going to claim I'm a diesel mechanic, cause I'm not, lol) it's running like it has a resistor in the ICP sensor like people do to the 7.3Ls That being said, if it was a bad FICM, they usually just fail suddently and don't "Fade out" like something mechanical typically does.

  • nevermind..that was battery, i think

  • ahh.. I see what you saw, i think.. Ya, my temp gauge flipped out a while ago but started working decently... I don't depend on it anyways.. The battery gauge always registers as high, which is good in my opinion.. lol ;)

  • your temp gauge not working properly?..looked like it was on hot. check mine out...ill let you know what the dealer says about mine.. little diff from yours, however.

  • that started like mine when my FICM went out but it ran fine after it started, not like yours is doing

  • Id say the FICM is bad. mine sat in the teens for like 8 hours and sounded like that had to keep cranker her n pumpin on the gas.

  • i just keep it plugged in.. but i agree, the FICM seams to be the issue..
