Rhodes Farm became part of Care UK’s portfolio of eating disorder services in February 2011 when full ownership was acquired from Dr Dee Dawson. With Rhodes Farm as part of Care UK, we now have a unique range of expertise and experience in eating disorders spanning acute care and rehabilitation. Our clinical governance systems and processes ensure delivery of high quality care in all our services and promote safety and continuous improvement.
That'd SUCK to have to finish the whole plate of food. Ugh. My stomach gets bloated just from like one bite of bread. x( I'm in treatment right now, and I am not very happy, but I suppose it takes lots of time to get over it...
@xAdamxHoneyx im so glad someone else understands, the news always needs someone to blame for something. more often than not its our own thoughts that influence us rather than others
I feel for these girls, I really do. Espeically being in the model industry- yes, it is their decision and their life career, but they're PRESSURIZED into being this skinny. All these girls are absolutely beautiful on the inside and out... It's just their body that's not. Once you fall into this illness, it's hard to get out.
people need to change the standard of models, they don't need to look like zombies, but like real women so that the younger generations see the beauty from another point of view. a full body is more beautiful than bones and skin and they need to realize this. anorexic and skinny models should be replaced by normal weight girls.
@xAdamxHoneyx I'm not sure that's completely true. The models, whilst not the initial cause, exacerbate the problem - these images are thrust in our faces everywhere we go and it eventually gets instilled in the minds of the most impressionable. Personally, it wasn't like that for me, but I have met many people who did focus worryingly on the likes of the more waif-like Jodi Kidd and Kate Moss. Models just compund the fears of the anorexic person.
@peaceonearth491 Why would believe you, you've clearly never met her. Why don't you try spending time at the hospital being treated like I did. She's just matter of fact and her techniques work very well - she doesn't bullshit anyone. Remember, she's there to save lives not give people wet life coaching. There's still no better place in the UK to be treated.
this is such bull. children and adults are dying and getting sick from being overweight sometimes weighing 100-150 kg. you tell these people who want to stay thin that it is bad and you end up with junk food fat pigs. yes dying from being thin is bad but so is dying from being fat.
@thebluebomb I'm not sure what your point is - both extremes need to be tackled, but you're implying that this hospital is telling kids it's better to be fat. How can you misinterpret the very obvious message that is coming out of this film?
Good video, but keep in mind not all eating disorders are 100% focused on just being thin. For me it's always been about control. I've been in several hospitals and the majority of sufferers have had some past with abuse or trauma, over-controlling parents/coaches, etc. The thin-ideal is what lights the pre-existing wick, I believe.
@neelah6 Hi, I'm sorry I read your reaction just now. Don't know if you still want to know, but this tiny piece is from a documentary about obesity. This is the only bit that is about anorexia.
bullshit, just because vogue shows skinny models doesn't mean kids look at them and say i want to be like that so i'll turn anorexic. so doesn't happen like that. and its the fashion industry who chooses skinny models and to the models are paid tp be skinny coz thats what their job requires just like a doctor requires a phd
ha ha and we are back to Rhodes farm... honestly, anyone would think that it was the only eating disorder clinic in the UK this is like the 4th or 5th documentary featuring rhodes farm
Oh, trust me. I understand how parents influence their children, and thus effect others around them. and judging by your comment (did I say I knew your personality?), which actually appears to have been deleted because it was so moronic, I detect a certain level of irresponsibility and nativity. People like that should wait until they grow up to have children.
wow the girl talkin at 0:45 is so beautiful. she could be a model. i know it wouldnt be good for her cause maybe she would lose more weight then, but i mean she looks like a model and her face is so pretty.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
if ur a parent who has a kid that is anerexic then do this.
get a freind to pertend to be a person whos gonna pertend to convence your child into being anerexic.
then tell your freind to tell your child alot of bad things like, you wont have time for freinds, & forget about parents, & stuff like that.most of kids end up not being anerexic :D
that's what happens when parents can't hit their kids anymore.
if my kids don't want to eat later in life. ima fuck that lill bitch up.
and don't start calling me a bad person. couse kicking your kids ass is better then finding your kid passed out on the floor, half starved to death.
people we need to start hitting our kids again, think about it. no more kids in wall mart going berserk, no more english nanny's and shit. and everyone who got his ass kicked knows not to fuck wiv daddy
Actually, it's bad parents like you who cause problems. You're too impatient and stupid, lack the skills to raise your kids without violence, so they grow up rude, inconsiderate, violent, and cause problems everywhere. It's people like you who shouldn't be allowed to have kids. :/
wow I have to agree that 63kgs is too much! I feel so sorry for her. I would hate to go to a clinic and have to gain that much! i hope i dont end up going to a clinic
It may seem like too much weight, but Rhodes Farm would probably have set her a target weight that makes her bmi about 20, which is perfectly normal. This girl is probably quite tall, so her ideal weight would be more than someone shorter.
@anaelisebeth 63kg is perfectly normal for that height. But that's why anorexics don't treat each other, they'd end up with a target weight of 5kg otherwise.
She has to be 63kg to get out!? Thats horiffic! I went in at 36kgs nearly the same as she did and I got out at 42kg. I'm tall too 173cms, that poor girl, Thank God I went to Psych ward and not a specialist unit, they don't seem to have the time or resources to get anorexic patients up to a healthy weight... just out of the immediate danger zone.
Is there a second video?
Please say yes!

You're right, my target weight in the clinic was 60,2. My bmi would be around 20. So she's probably a bit taller.

Yes, it's from a short documentary - series. It's about obesity & weight.
This is a small fragment of one episode, but the rest of the episode is more about beauty image in the media, and not about eating disorders.
But I am going to upload a documentary about Rhodes Farm when it just started soon :) Hopefully online in a couple of days :)
