@Jamskas ,,, a friend retired to SaltSpring Island after a long military career. Shortly before he died he told me that he'd never become an Islander -- though he knew everyone there and was active in many organizatons --nor would his daughter, who was a young adult when they moved there, but he was happy that his grandson would be, since he was born there ... even though some others would hold the grandson a tad suspect because his parents were from away ;-)

I think you just have to enjoy <3

I agree. It's beautiful all year round - even in winter. I've been here 25 years and I love it. It's a piece of paradise for sure.
