There would be a lack of competition, if we only have one choice there wouldn’t be any companies trying to give a better offer in order to gain customers. And even if we had both government and private HC the government would low ball for a couple years until the private companies went away and then have a monopoly thus taking away our freedom to choose in the end

France is also a completely different country that has a different society, a fifth of the popluation we do, and different climate. They also don't have oil or coal companies to deal with(because they don't have any) so they have a different energy problem to deal with. In short, they are different from the US and can't be compared. Well one we never found him and two the entire Iraqi government said he was never there and three Al-Qaeda had zero bases in Iraq when we invaded. The federal government will always protect us from terrorists that's there job but we did it wrong. Iraq should never have been invaded and even Afghanistan is questionable. The war has lasted so long because the U.S. has too much pride to simply declare victory and leave.

Medicare is not out of money that is absurd raising taxes to mirror Medicare's population growth would solve the problem now and forever. And that would only require a 1 or 2% tax increase so I'm pretty sure taxes could still be raised after that if it were ever necessary but since the Medicare budget would be balanced the need for more taxes would decline.

Instead of working all week, doctors only open their office three or four days a week. They refuse to work all week for the minimum pay they get from the Canadian govt. @mistomen The Canadian health care system and the French health care system are light years apart. The French do it better than anyone else by far and every French citizen swears by it. There was never an income tax until 1901 when Wilson was able to pass an admendment. Tax the states based on population, it is up the the state to determine how to raise the money.

Socialized medicine works very well in every modern democracy. Corporations in health care make their vast sums by continually raising their rates and by then denying care. I go to Germany,which has a health care system probably comparable to France,whenever I need any treatments(cancer scans,radiation therapy,colonoscopies,that kind of fun stuff),not because I am covered there,but I can afford to pay the fees,which are usually 50 to 80% less than in this insane place. The people over there have very few complaints about their health care system,and can not believe what is going on here."Greatest country in the world" my ass...
one more thing: I remember reading an article (UN report issued) about healthcare costs and to my surprise, US spend almost twice as much as France for per capita for healthcare! ($4000/$7000 if I remember correctly)

There would be a lack of competition, if we only have one choice there wouldn’t be any companies trying to give a better offer in order to gain customers. France is also a completely different country that has a different society, a fifth of the popluation we do, and different climate. They also don't have oil or coal companies to deal with(because they don't have any) so they have a different energy problem to deal with. In short, they are different from the US and can't be compared. Well one we never found him and two the entire Iraqi government said he was never there and three Al-Qaeda had zero bases in Iraq when we invaded. The federal government will always protect us from terrorists that's there job but we did it wrong. Iraq should never have been invaded and even Afghanistan is questionable. The war has lasted so long because the U.S. has too much pride to simply declare victory and leave.

Medicare is not out of money that is absurd raising taxes to mirror Medicare's population growth would solve the problem now and forever. And that would only require a 1 or 2% tax increase so I'm pretty sure taxes could still be raised after that if it were ever necessary but since the Medicare budget would be balanced the need for more taxes would decline.

States should run it, it will be managed better because each state deals with different environmental issues and they will budget it better based on their economy(different cost of living). Instead of working all week, doctors only open their office three or four days a week. They refuse to work all week for the minimum pay they get from the Canadian govt. My brothers and sister live there, they were liberals , but now they vote conservative.

Or you can also study the German system that's been in place since the 1880s. And conservatives in Canada would be considered radical liberals here. There was never an income tax until 1901 when Wilson was able to pass an admendment. Tax the states based on population, it is up the the state to determine how to raise the money.

Socialized medicine works very well in every modern democracy. Corporations in health care make their vast sums by continually raising their rates and by then denying care. This is obvious to everyone except republicans. I am happy to see republican numbers decreasing daily and their own anti-democractic tactics feed most of their own decline. one more thing: I remember reading an article (UN report issued) about healthcare costs and to my surprise, US spend almost twice as much as France for per capita for healthcare! ($4000/$7000 if I remember correctly)
Considering the french system isn't perfect, far from it actually, don't you guys think there is something rotten within the healthcare policy? regardless of the country, healthcare shouldn't be the hands of insurance and pharmaceutical companies, at least not without tidy control
