@RandomDandomVids Ah, I already knew about the closing credits. I used some of it to help me piece together the full opening version. It's not the full thing, so it doesnt really count. The way you were talking, i thought you have had found an officially released FULL version of the instrumental.
i thought the instrumentals here were done by Faulconer Productions Music with lyrics added by Funi. 'Ginyu Assault' episode was when Faulconer first started composing for DBZ, episode #63 i think...
@NorthviewVids The song debuted in 1996 with FUNimation's first dub of the DBZ TV series, as done in conjunction with Ocean Studios for the voices and Shuki Levy (& Kussa Mahehi) for the music. Faulconer Productions wasn't brought on-board until 1999 with the in-house production of "season three", a full three years after "Rock the Dragon" had first gone into use.
COY COY PLEASE RESPOND I GOT A BIG TASK FOR YOU! THERE's this epic theme when gohan is flying back and forth from spaceship to goku when he's fighting frieza as a ssj and the planet is in chaos. every time he was shown flying in the scene the song played and he kept saying hold on dad im comin while bulma was waiting for him in a collapsing spaceship with dying piccolo. just watch the scene that song is amazing you'll find it right away
@MaxFlared If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, just look for "Vegeta Powers Up" on Youtube, then click a little bit more than halfway through the song.
There was a remix of the second opening in the fight between Super Saiyan Goku and Frieza. When Goku punches a giant purple energy blast into space and takes out a planet. Think you could get that next?
@JOSHSNIFF Coycoy is not doing ocean tracks. This just happened to be on the old Funimation dvd's of the original dub of Dragon Ball Z. To hope for him to do ocean tracks would be hoping for too much.
@JOSHSNIFF Not really... xD; I'm not familiar enough with their music, and I don't have any of the ocean dub dvd's. (I need the actual dvd's to record from the highest quality sound source) i'm dirt poor, so buying them is out of the question. Plus it would depend if the audio on those dvd's were in stereo, and if the sfx/vocals were center based sounds. If not, then ripping would be pretty much impossible. I ripped this song from funi's first DBZ DVD, named, "Captain Ginyu - Assault".
@coycoy88 Is there Ocean dub DVDs? I'm kind of torn apart with Dragonball Z. On one hand there is the Ocean dub (which in my opinion has the best voice actors for the Saiyan and Namek saga) but they have the worst editing ever, for whatever reason, editing out anything relating to death or hitting in the face. On the other, the remastered version as far as i know is unedited but has not so good voice acting.. :(
@JOSHSNIFF oh i see, sorry about that, and i thought Cartoon Networknever aired the Ocean Dub version, just the Funi, because I always wondered why the first two seasons of DBZ (Cartoon Network) were dubbed differently but the rest were just the same
they aired the first two seasons consistently until Funi dubbed ginyu and on. and when they started from the beginning, they used the Ocean/saban versions. they did this until Funi finally did the Ultimate Uncut: the first two Sagas. 13 episodes had never been dubbed before until Funi did it. Ocean's were very good, but they were too edited. everything after the namek saga sucked in terms of Ocean.
@JOSHSNIFF (Part 1) This is why i only watch the Remastered version of DBZ, they're not edited, they show all the footage from the original Anime, even though I enjoyed DBZ in the old days back in Cartoon Network the soundtracks from Bruce don't mean much to me (although his soundtracks and work are really good), as long as I'm watching DBZ with all the uncut footage, I'm happy
@JOSHSNIFF (Part 2) Also even after the Namek Saga Cartoon Network still edited out a lot of footage from the Original Anime, sure, there was blood, but if you compare the Remastered version to the version they aired on Cartoon Network, you would know it's different, also blood wasn't the only thing, some unnecessary sound effects were used in the Cartoon Network version that weren't used in the Original Anime.
memories of '04 childhood watching this shit. Treasured moment n shit. I lived to listened for the credits

A fan of only the first two sagas. I grew up on what I saw on TV. SO that means Ocean dub Saiyan/Namek and then Funi Ginyu -------> Kid Buu.
