I'd suggest not but you can always try and experiment if you are good with the knots :)

thats what i mean i did 7 by accident so i had to undo them and them cut anotherstring them re-attch them w/8 strings. THX though it looks really good andmine is turning out gr8!!!!!!

Yesm. You just keep repeating that set over and over until you have the length you would like.

Nah you don't. If you just want like a couple of colours just double up on which ever ones you like
