There is noooooo fucking way this is Death grind, the song structures are too long for this to even pass as grind. I guess Cryptopsy is death grind too?? Gimme a fucking break, this actually has real song structure. This is just wayy to creative to put it in one genre, this mixes brutal death metal, melodic death metal, Prog, ambience and world music all at once. @1Heretic Both bands came out almost at same time. Nile is Death Metal with egyptian influences. Lykathea Aflame is Deathgrind/really, REALLY Brutal Death Metal (think Cryptopsy), also with influences. Also, both "Black Seeds of Vengeance" and "Elvenefris" came out in 2000, just with a few days of difference. So do your research, before making an jackass of yourself.

PS: Lykathea Aflame is 1000000 times better than nile, imao.

@WolfieboyMachi You are entitled to your opinion. Just be aware that's it's incorrect on the same level as Flat-Earthers. Tomas Corn's performance is among the finest in all of metal. The mix isn't the greatest, but it highlights the power and importance of the drums in the song.

I've had my copy of this album for eight or nine years and the name change and female vocalist is old news as are any other updates you'd be able to find on the interwebs. I assumed the new album was never going to happen but Elvenefris was so brilliant I don't care how long it takes- I'll always be interested to hear their next album. Same goes for Thorns' new album. This shit is classic.

If everything goes as planned it should probably be released next year.

Not sure if its gonna be death metal thou... they have gotten a female vocalist, i hope its just for background vocals.

Well they are rare. They are basically/almost out of print and the band does not exist in this form now. They changed their name and so fourth. If you buy from the record label then the cd will be real. Atleast mine is.

This is some of the heaviest stuff I've ever heard, and I've heard a great deal of death metal and grindcore; thus I don't say it very much that song x is among the heaviness stuff I've ever heard. The drumming is very technical and insane. I would love to have the album someday, but it seems like a rare find. A re-release wouldn't be a bad idea, because the songs I have heard off this are insane and awesome.
