  • nice...i was just worried about being able to get spare parts right away from a LHS in cases just one part breaks. ...for sure my next build though, any recommendations?

  • Ya, anything that's compatible with the Trex450 is a good bet.

Your next build? Should be the exceed BlueRay 450PE. Why? Because it's a Trex 450SE V2 clone, so you wouldn't have a problem finding parts for it, and most of the screws are HEX, not phillips which strips like mad when you try to "build" it. If the hex work as well as the align's, it'll be a smooth and pleasant heli to fly and build. If they strip however, it'll be nothing but headaches.

    It looks promising.

  • these models are the trex clones right? if so can you replace broken parts say in the head with align parts or are they not interchangeable. would i have to replace the whole head to use align part?

  • You betcha top dolla!! The CopterX 450 SEV2 can use each and every single part of the Trex 450 SEV2! But why would you? The trex main hub costs as much as an entire copter head assembly, and they're virtually the same thing, the metal is a little softer, but you can still crash a bunch without having to replace too much, so in the long run you'll spend less on the copter parts. Clones are the way to do it, since the days of cyrix.

  • i thing you are a genius in stuffs like that!! very nice video!! 5 stars!

  • Hey what motor did ya sue?

  • Sorry, totally missed that question. I used the Align 430XL at first and now I use the Scorpion 2221-6V2, it's a lot of power, but poor battery life, 2-3 min flights! But plenty of power. I would rather fly with the power for 3 mins, than with the 430XL for 6 minutes though. Gives you that adrenaline rush! Who doesn't want that?

  • Yes Sir I got mine last sat, still in the box workin on my EXI 450 right now. Got stuff for the CopterX coming in the mail, servos, gyro and such.

  • Okay mine is on its way to your house get er done and send it back ASAP

  • Hahaha, funny.

    You got a CopterX too?

    You got it flyin yet?

It's hard to get going, but once you set it up, it flys like a dream!

  • I just got mine

    its the SE v2

    what about the maingear?

do you recomend using an align one?

  • Great time lapse on a sweet heli!

  • Haha, thanks man. I see you just got the heli too! It's the best!

  • I strongly agree! superb job man... great video! 5 stars!

  • E X C E L L E N T !!!

    5 BIG STARS !!!

  • Hahha, glad you like it. The flight videos are a little more exciting, but you've gotta build before you fly!

You've got some great videos with the flycamone! I've been testing out cameras on the heli as well.

    Have a good day!

  • very nice sir. so have you flown it yet.

  • Yup, just had a couple flights so far, maiden and crashed, then painted it up real bright and have flown without orientation problems since then. Check out my latest vid, it's sort of a short story. haha.

  • Nice job! Time for a beer.

  • That was really cool

  • that video helped me alot lol i did mine in the same order and i didnt no wat i was doin lol check my video out

  • nice

  • Glad you liked it!

Real time was probably about 8 hours. I had to build plastic D shaped nuts for the servos, the kit didn't come with it. I had to use a dremal and make em. I locktite'd everything, so that took a long time, but that's essential, otherwise it'll explode in mid air. Installing servos/setup was pretty quick with the DX7.

  • ooooo brilliant! How long did it take in real time?
