Don't understand the criticism of this film. Disagree with the quality of monsters. monsters in bigger budgeted films that look worse than this. It looks weird to you because there is no ridiculous CGI. It takes an imagination to enjoy a movie like this. That's why it's boring to some when we have been so used to movies just laying the gore out there. There's no thought process for the viewer. By that time it's just entertainment. I agree though the ending bugged me.

I like this movie. I've seen it a few times now & it still weirds me out in parts even tho I know what's coming. It Is a movie you Have to watch more than once to catch everything in it. Yeah, the 'demons' look cheesy @ times, until you think about them as personal demons-then it doesn't matter. I agree on him having killed his GF. Brilliant movie, though somewhat clumsily executed in some parts, that viewers with limited imagination or intelligence should definitely skip. Lovecraftian in theme: there is no god to protect you and the monsters are real...and want to hurt you. Some definite pacing problems and a few (very large) plot holes do not keep this from being a genuinely fun and scary experience. Oh, and anyone who thinks the film doesn't tell what really happened, see my first line in this post.

The first part where he's looking out his window and sees that creature come around the corner of his house freaked me out. I said: Fuck you. You only got a small glimpse and that's what made it freaky. I live out in the country and if I heard banging on my windows and saw something like that peak around the corner, I wouldn't stay and watch. But then you get to the scene when they're in the bathroom, I think. He sees that creature and it starts chasing them... That's where it went full retard.

The movie was awful; the actors were annoying (especially David O'Reilly), it was NOT scary, and these "creatures" looked so stupid. I want to meet whoever came up with this awful movie and punch them in the face.

DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the biggest waste of time. I can take a fucking camera and film 3 people screaming in the dark for an hour too, does that make it a horror movie?

You're better off renting The Exorcist.

If you can't handle an open ending, you probably have no imagination.

The end of a movie is not the end of a story, If the couple get's married at the end, do they have kids? do they divorce?

If the murderer is killed, does the hero cope? does he go insane? who does the paperwork?

Imagination, people. Come on. Do you need everything handed to you on a plate? Think for yourself.

How did the woman die if it was simply his imagination. Why did the lights turn on and off if it was simply his imaginationg.

Pretty clearly. The creatures existed and part of their tormenting him was that he was the only one who could see them.

The fact the woman was slashed up at the end, after she suffocated David and Alex had been stabbed pretty much clears up any debate about whether the creatures existed.

what i interpreted from the ending is that david was right all along..maybe those monsters manifested after he had killed his wife out of his anger and fear. and when the girl opened the door at the end she got killed by one of these manifestations.. that's my interpretation anyway

Not to give any spoilers or anything, but he wasn't being haunted or possessed. He went insane after killing his girlfriend Sara after she cheated on him. He was using the monsters as a way to escape the fact the he killed her. He convinced himself that the monsters killed her and now they were going to kill him. Maybe pay attention next time, ya?

I agree. The scene at the end where she mumbled to herself about not opening the door was likely a hallucination/flash back, as she lay there dieing as a result of DOR slashing her to pieces in an insane rage!

There were no real monsters, only the demons in his head as a result of killing his cheating GF and losing the plot!!

There are multiple things that I promise you see help explain the story in some more if you watch it again.. I promise you.
