I've done all 100 miles of the White Rim Trail 4 times. It's an indescribably sublime experience every time. I go in winter so--no mountain bikers--almost nobody at all! Last time we didn't even see a ranger (which probably isn't such good news) during the week we were in the back country. I live in and love New York City but I'd be content to die in the Island in the Sky.
I camp in the Island in the Sky every winter that I'm able to get out of NYC to Utah. I love it with all my heart. And, thank God, it remains relatively unpopular except with mountain bikers in the warm weather.
So peaceful and serene. Won't hear a sound or see a single artificial light for hundreds of miles around. Away from the human infestation, my kind of a place.
Yea, walk of the side of one of those cliffs. It will save the rest of us from having to listen and read the sewage that spills from your hypocrite mouth.
Check out David Day Canyonlands book and others like Fran Barnes' series. Be prepared. I've been through a lot of Canyonlands and vic. You better know what your'e doing and know desert survival skills. There's a number of good hikes along and off Island area.
I hiked Chesler Park down to druid Arch. It was SICK. This place is as nice as Bryce!
I need to go back and hike lost canyon and the confluence in the needles.
As far as island in the sky, I did go, but I only drove the road- did the short hike to upheaval dome (very nice!). The best picture of my trip was taken from the green river overlook pullout.

I did and this video is less boring than yours, and it didn't feature images of its maker which is always a bonus
