The shop was ripping off customers by telling them that they had to wait for parts from abroad , when they had brake rotors made nearby. They paid the freight costs and the dealership price in full. I know , I picked up the parts and didn't know for a couple months. Screw them.
According to the information that is now being concentrated upon , Toyota knew there was a problem a long time ago. Blaming the floor mat or mats. If my gas pedal got stuck , I would be changing the injector or injectors , as they can stick open as well as closed. Forget the pedal and the floor mats , and don't let Toyota run the Federal Reserve. Use gasline antifreeze only too , as injector cleaners can cause flow problems due to their dislodging of dirt in any fuel line , if it is present
I think Toyota has generally concentrated on building anything into their cars , that the big 3 don't have for years now. So much so , that they have overlooked what vacuums can do to a carburetor or injector system in their process. Engines respond critically when the intake manifold and/or injector oriface is altered for any reason , especially on newer designs. In general , small engines respond poorly to dirt etc. , as opposed to bigger engines.
The Obamunists want Toyota ruined because it's a non-union operations, not because of any trouble with its cars. The acceleration issue was the chink in the armor.

It's true in US. I live in canada, but sometimes i feel sorry for the people that scrounge around for money so that they can pay off their debts. And then if they can't within the month or so they pay a high tax rate which makes them owe more. They should only lend out the money that have certification that they can pay it back within a time limit, but i guess a problem can occur a long the way.
The Toyota recall is really small potatoes. Cars get recalled for safety issues all the time. I had 6 recalls on 2 Ford Tauruses that I had. Where were the Federal hearings?

I knew this mortgage thing was gonna be big trouble , when I saw that the construction companies were in a frenzy due to government grants. With no capital , in other words - they are building to capture the youngest buyer's bucks. I thought there would come a day when the banks concentrated their lending efforts on the 18+ crowd , getting them early. It's an excuse for not having paid previous workers enough. It will all end up just like the credit cards ( UNPAID ). Most saying "SO WHAT".

Don't think Honda's are better than Toyota though. I used to be a car jockey at a Honda dealership and deliver all the new cars right to the customer's doorstep on their day of delivery. The shop was ripping off customers by telling them that they had to wait for parts from abroad , when they had brake rotors made nearby. They paid the freight costs and the dealership price in full. I know , I picked up the parts and didn't know for a couple months. Screw them.

According to the information that is now being concentrated upon , Toyota knew there was a problem a long time ago. Blaming the floor mat or mats. If my gas pedal got stuck , I would be changing the injector or injectors , as they can stick open as well as closed. Forget the pedal and the floor mats , and don't let Toyota run the Federal Reserve. Use gasline antifreeze only too , as injector cleaners can cause flow problems due to their dislodging of dirt in any fuel line , if it is present

I think Toyota has generally concentrated on building anything into their cars , that the big 3 don't have for years now. So much so , that they have overlooked what vacuums can do to a carburetor or injector system in their process. Engines respond critically when the intake manifold and/or injector oriface is altered for any reason , especially on newer designs. In general , small engines respond poorly to dirt etc. , as opposed to bigger engines.

I think this Toyota thing is much larger then what it seems. With the Prius Toyota is just a few steps away from having a plug in car. You can actually buy a connecting unit to do so. This car would eventually lean more and more electric as time goes by. The Oil companies, the American Car companies and the sheeple all fear this movement. And the government supports them. Cars get recalled all the time its not a big issue, I use to have a Buick Le Sebre that was recalled because the gas tank had problems. Every single car company will have recalls, no exception. But, the people running hosing can't be recalled that's the sad part.

excellent post as usual. One bit though: CRA was contributory to crisis, but CRA itself did not and cannot (or any single piece of legislation or company) cause the boom/bust cycle, or bubbles. This is caused solely and only by artificial credit (Fed) pushed through the commercial banking sector.
Bubbles are caused by inflation and credit expansion, not companies, policies, or market actors. The blame falls solely on government and its money monopoly.

It's true in US. I live in canada, but sometimes i feel sorry for the people that scrounge around for money so that they can pay off their debts. And then if they can't within the month or so they pay a high tax rate which makes them owe more. They should only lend out the money that have certification that they can pay it back within a time limit, but i guess a problem can occur a long the way.

The Toyota recall is really small potatoes. Cars get recalled for safety issues all the time. I had 6 recalls on 2 Ford Tauruses that I had. Where were the Federal hearings?
