Good review, thanks. "for all you retards", was funny and true. We are all gun safe (hopefully) so why do people care to see someone do a check on a video? They aren't at risk. The slide will get racked during a review so they will see then. And if it is loaded, well that video isn't going to get posted. I don't understand this need to see it safety checked first thing on a video... it is bizarre.
I guess if you want a real review of a firearm on you tube you have to go to Hickock45. Everybody else just sounds like cussing, snot nosed kids. Grow up and at least TRY to be a tiny bit professional .
I have got a couple M&Ps. The trigger WILL smooth out. Kinda goofy build but it will smooth out. Droppin in a APEX trigger will make a difference if you dig that.
I have the 40 compact and just love it. The gripe you had about not being able to dis-assemble completely like the Glock, is gonna be trivial for probably 90% of owners. The M&P series is made so damn well, I have a Glock 19 and much prefer the M&P in every aspect. Good honest review, and good job!!!!
its not very smart to detail strip a pistol a lot, parts can get loose and fall out, like pins. i have run thousands of rounds through my glock and it has never had the frame disassembled.
The roll pins aren't too big an issue for take down so long as you have a punch set for pistols. After doing it numerous times on my 9 and 45, it's farely easy. Great guns though otherwise, I agree.
Love the video and I love the S&W M&P, however the thing I hate!! Is the round count, why can't S&W, Glock or Springfield get it together? The Taurus PT145Pro is a 10+1 and it’s a 3”sub-compact 45acp, This S&W compact 45acp seems to be a nice CCW firearm but the round count just kills the deal for me @ that round count why not carry a 1911?
@ArmedCivilian556 The weight and the break-in period of the 1911 was a deal breaker for me, also I couldn’t get the one I wanted here in stock from kimber. I almost 100% believe the M&P will be more reliable without cleaning it or lack of spring replacements.
@Raybrig2k4 1911 "break-in" period is a myth. It should function out of the box. The "break-in" period crap is poor manufacturing tolerances and marketing crap for gunsmiths to get some coin. I have a dozen 1911s and they all function out of the box as designed. The ones that didn't got gone.
Putting that stainless guide rod into your Glock voids the lifetime mfg warranty. The Glock comes from the factory fit for law enforcement use, imo. Good vid on the 45 tho!
@TexZenMaster Yea that doesn't bother me on the glock warranty, can replace and fix anything in that myself and buy every part since the patent ran out and the guns fairly cheap, thanks for the heads up though.
Great video man. I never post positive responses but the fact that you pointed out the cons wins... Love the fuck you (politically incorrect) language... hahaha
Between 9:20 - to like 9:45 it sounded like you ate way too much Mexican food the night before you made this.
Lol. Thanks for the review. Been thinking of this as a way to get into 45 for a carry gun. Was also thinking of putting a Viridian C5L light laser on the front rail and carrying in a Raven Concealment.
@ThreeProphets for the barrel yea you could if that's all you had and you can get a tight seal and some CLP, just have to get the carbon off of the rifling.
@ThreeProphets yea got lucky on the tritium sights, not gona lie though mines gona be a sig or a 1911 all steel gun, I still wouldn't feel right havin to hit something with a polymer frame gun if it came to that.
@wye4379 currently looking for a 3" barrel carry option, sadly no one in NY has a Kimber Ultra Carry II that I'm looking for. kinda swayed towards a XDM or M&P 40 compact.
@95civex Nah I wouldn't say that, for 100$ you can get a new barrel for a glock and shoot reloads, I just prefer the M&P over all. Personal preference and hand time would prolly sway you towards the M&P. I waste alotta rounds on the glock thanks to preban mags here in NY.
@95civex Pretty much on the same level, will come down to personal pref. I've just had alot better luck with this gun then glocks. sorry never got email updates for all these comments.
@SirSmok3Alot225 Nah only rated for std +P, all i've used so far +P wise is Golden Sabres and they ran 100%. Pretty thin barrel or I'd mess with it heh.
Great vid man. I'm getting one as my next carry piece, just trying to decide if I want the safety or not. I've heard they can sometimes get knocked into place while shooting, depending on your grip. Ever experience this?
@Echo399 actually yea I have, the safety does ride a little low for a normal proper hold on it, I hope over the safety now to make sure i don't knock it up. when i rack the slide though I do catch myself knocking it up with my thumb.
@Raybrig2k4 Oh, I definitely want to buy one. Your video is an encouragment & thank you for it. Prior to viewing it, my thoughts were: 'the 40c would be a little bigger than my G27, but smaller than my G32, which could work for me'. Since watching your vid, my thoughts are: 'I'm OK w/the size of the G32, so why not just get the 45C?' I'm gonna look at/handle both, hopefully this week, & then go from there. Thanks again for your help.

@Raybrig2k4 One of my 1st CCW guns was the M&P 40 S&W compact, loved the gun but again the round count for the size of its competition came up short.

@ArmedCivilian556 cus a 1911 is a lot bigger and a lot heavier. and you have to carry it cocked and locked.
BrandonSaldana 4 months ago
@ArmedCivilian556 The Taurus needs the extra weight so when it malfunctions you can throw it at the bad guy.

Moonfood78 6 months ago
Unless you are an armor, you shouldn't be detail stripping it anyway.
argonnj 6 months ago
@argonnj not a true statement, most guns are beyond easy and have no need to pay an armorer.
Raybrig2k4 6 months ago
@Raybrig2k4 Some may be easy, but it's not necessary for normal maintenance and really shouldn't be done unless you are an armor.

It isnt that hard to take apart... actually quite easy. However, the only reason you need to do it is to fix something.
