i just used Windows Movie Maker. i've found it's the easiest and most user-friendly. you need to convert your video files to .wmv though. i recommend Aimersoft - it's not free but so worth it. you can get the dvd ripper or the video converter (if you're using iTunes files) for $30. or you can get the suite which has both for $40.
I love this video... and good god I miss Charlie. Excellent song choice though. Truly.
