I like KM's performance on "Mobile" in particular. But he's no where near Vinnie Coliauta, Dennis Chambers or Simon Phillips. Comparatively Keith's drumming is merely passionate. The depth of his interpretive skills was shallow, but well produced. To hear real ART on the drums, please listen to "Vinnie Coliauta live at the baked potato". Then listen Keith again.

This series is currently being shown on the FX channel in the UK. The next showing of the Keith Moon programme is on the night of 30th November 2009 at 3am. It's annoying because I recorded it last time it was on but I wasn't able to watch it because my Sky + box went kaput and the only way I could get it working again is to wipe the whole disc. Just watch television shows like Cops or To Serve and Protect(the Canadian version of Cops): you'll see that most of the problems the police deal with are connected to alcohol - fights in bars, domestic disputes, etc...

And I personally know people who are reasonable, decent people - but become mean when they drink.

This part is mostly just showing the paradox of his public life and private; his friends speaking of how lovable and kind he is, the narrator saying that he was Moon the Loon.

Later in the doco there is some good information about the pathology of what the drugs did to his sytem, but you can also gooogle that info.
