This was kinda the same thing Anakin tried to do to Obi-Wan in Ep. 3

When Obi-Wan was like "don't do it Anakin I have the higher ground" and he cut Anakin up

So now we know when it comes to the higher ground advantage, it all depends on which side Obi-Wan is on lol :P

what form does obi-won use because when he was an apprentis for qui-gon he was a bad ass swordsman then when he was a master he always got his ass kicked. must of let himself go or focused more on the force instead of saber techiniques which he shouldnt because he is thhe type of jedi which rely on saber form rather then force since he has the blue lightsaber.

obi did originally use ataru like qui gon, but it became outdated when the clone wars began and he started using soresu, which is a very defensive technique, when he faced dooku, he was not yet a master of it, hence he got defeated by dooku's superior skill and masterful use of makashi

i think qui-gon could of beat dooku because quigon fought darthmaul himself pretty much the whole fight and darth maul was very skillbased in lightsaber dueling and using his double blade

true but i doubt qui gon could have beaten his master, we've all seen how skilled he is after that duel with yoda, who is a master of ataru. Plus dooku's makashi is masterful. It's difficult to say really but i would put my money on dooku

you know as I watch these and all other star wars movies I notice that Jedi are so weak compared to sith i mean darth maul was a sith APRENTIS against a jedi master and jedi knight he he almost beat them both with ease pretty much the only jedi that were strong was Yoda and Mace Windu

Easily the best fight of the saga. It doesn't do all the zooming in on characters shit like Anakin vs Obi-Wan or the Dooku fight. This one focuses on the fight, not the characters.

this was one of the best duels if not THE best. two jedi side by side. Darth Maul was smart to kick the stronger of the two, Obi-Wan and focus on the weaker of the two evils. i don't even need to mention obi-wan and maul going solo. that was just incredible. my only complaint has to be the ending. maul had like 5 seconds to react WITH LIGHTSABER ACTIVATED! i have to say that was just a crummy part of the duel. otherwise, extremely good duel.

That lightsaber fight was the best one in the whole saga, the way it was set-up, how they made Obi-Wan come so close, only to have to watch his master die, it was powerful.

I think this is the best lightsaber fight of the entire Star Wars saga. They really did a great job at making a lightsaber fight more intense than the one of the old trilogy and the "Duel of the Fates" music made it even more exciting.
