  • This is great! Thanks so much for posting it! You wouldn't know where I could find the pics of Elton and Bernie from the start?

  • Taupin is so charming =)

  • he looks really really young here

    :O

  • This has made my 2010 year! No..I'm not sad..Simply never seen this before and seems so ampt. for me at the momment..Thanks for posting..

  • bernie definitaly needs more fame then he has now

  • Oh c'mon Elton i think it's time you must release your Captain Fantastic concert you did in 1975 on video dvd.

  • captain and the kid is the third great album in a row from Elton in my opinion

  • when did this interview take place?

  • i met this guy he used to date my second cousin

  • elton has been making such great music, im so proud of him !

  • For 40 years now!

  • sorry :)

i didnt see the lower comment.

    thanks.

  • what is the song being played at the beginning?

  • Captain, and the Kid, I do beleive.

  • The Captain and the Kid is the beginning song.

  • marriage huh?

  • i was just wondering why he never plays "and the house fell down".. it is such a great song with a lot energy. it will work fantastik in a concert with its rock'n'roll rythm and bluesy style...

  • this album - especially the title track - includes some of elton's best new melodies!

  • Title track is actually an old melody revamped...

  • yeah, but just the intro and the end are from captain fantastic & the brown dirt cowboy ;)

  • except the intro/end of Captain Fantastic has the electric piano and acoustic guitar as opposed to the intro/end of Captain and the Kid which has the piano and mandolin. plus, Captain and the Kid has a faster tempo and is upbeat throughout the whole song. both of them wonderful songs; matching bookends!

  • Wats the name of the song at the start of the vid

  • It's called The Captain and the Kid.

  • Wow. This has to be the best thing I've ever found on youtube, hands down. It's so in depth and they're so honest, it's just amazing. I have so much respect for Elton, that he can talk about the drug days and sing about them and just take it matter-of-factly. Thank you so much for posting this!

  • Your welcome and i'm really pleased you like it so much, :D

  • Bernie was such a laid back kid and Reg was more intense, they have flipped. Not a critisism. Reg didn't get famous by sleeping with Bernie.

  • hey chazfem, where did you get this?

  • Its a DVD that comes with the special edition album, twice the price but worth it! :D

  • Awesome! Thanks for the videos - Elton and Bernie are amazing!

  • Sir Elton and Bernie are geniuses, and when I get disappointed in the state of music these days, all I have to do is listen to every album from "made in England" on and know that people who know their craft and respect it are still out there. God bless them...well, He already has.

  • Give Songs from the West Coast a chance - INCREDIBLE. Not as upbeat as Made in England, but some of the best songs from Elton and Bernie in 25 years.

  • I'm going to assume you weren't addressing me when you posted this...

  • They should have included 'This Train' on that album regardless of where it came before. That song makes some sense in the tale. Anyway...I just couldn't get into the tale. Thanks for the post though. It was great hearing the interpretation.

  • I'm not saying I didn't like it. But haven't you heard Songs From The West Coast? That's the best of his most recent stuff.

  • Why I was listening to it only this morning on the way into college! SFTWC is a very good album but I think The Captain & The Kid is just as good. Sorry to hear you were disapointed but glad ya like it anyway ;)

  • why don't you give it another chance?? It's really worth it. It's the best, since "THE ONE" peace

  • I was disappointed by The Captain and The Kid. I suppose it being described that THE SEQUEL to CFATBDC gave me higher expectations.

  • I agree with dltruman, you really should give it another listen. There are some truely fantastic tracks on there! Don't listen to it with expectations, just hear it for what it is and you'll soon find yourself enraptured!

  • I have never been so let down by an Elton John album either. I know I should just be saying: "THANK YOU, Bernie...Thank you Reg!" Yet I would have even prefered just all new takes on all the original songs. Those songs do not get enough play.

  • Thanks so much, watch all 7 interviews!

  • wow! informative and entertaining. eltons still got it! ta for uplaoding! hey there!
