It is 100% relevant. "Hate crimes" are never applied towards black on White crime. It goes against the 14th ammendment which states Americans have "equal protection under the law". It was clear that this was racially motivated, and should be dealt with accordingly.

I asked a senior person at the Washington Post why they did not report this crime. I was told that the Post did not have a reporter stationed in Knoxville. Later I learned that the Associated Press did some reporting, which the Post would have received.
Geraldo Rivera made one report based, I believe, on the AP account. Michelle Malkin seems to have been the most interested.

Cops are trained, but they are human and have emotions. Lets say that you were a cop. You are on a 100+mile per hour chase through residential neighborhood after midnight, and your adreniline is pumping fast! The car pulls over 11 miles later and the guy gets out and punches a female officer, and pushes her up against the car. He is tazed twice, but wont go down.Back up arrives and the man is taken down. Knowing he assaulted a fellow cop, do you think you might take a whack or 2 with your baton?

King was arrested in 99 for beating his wife, again in 2001 he plead guilty to three counts of being under the influence of PCP and one of indecent exposure, in 2003 King was arrested again for speeding and running a red light while under the influence of alcohol. He failed to yield to police officers and slammed his SUV into a house, breaking his pelvis.
He is gonna be on Celebrity Rehab with Doctor Drew next month to battle his PCP and alcohol addiction which led to his beating in 1991! LOL
