Build them stronger and better, modernize them with the latest technologies, and right below it build the most beautiful memorial the world has ever seen for 9/11. We need to go down to Ground zero and protest against the Freedom Tower. The Twin Towers II should be built on Ground zero. The Twin Towers is what made the skyline famous. I'm from The Netherlands and I was in New York last year in may and I was by Ground Zero and I saw the new WTC 7 that looks good and I saw the Freedom Tower in construction but I want the Twin Towers back!!
It's NOT too late to build the towers back. I never got to go inside the original twin towers (i was fortunate enough to have flown before 9/11), and i never will if the Freedom Tower (Larry silverstein's 1WTC) is built. The WTC was like a city within a city, and the Freedom Tower complex would have part of the street grid on it, taking away its uniqueness, and if it's built, the terrorists would have won twice (making flying harder, altering NY's skyline)

last night i had a dream about driving by new york and seeing the freedom tower and its surrounding buildings in the skyline. in that dream i thought when seeing the freedom tower "there's the big trophy for the terrorists" and then saw signs and posters of new york with the old twin towers still in it and heard people saying that those pictures remind them of 9-11.

The Freedom Tower may been Green but the official memorials aren't. I heard it costs like 4 million dollars to maintain the memorials. That includes keeping the waterfalls heated so the water doesn't freeze and they are likely to remain shut down for much of the year. 4 million dollars to maintain these memorials is irresponsible and uncalled for. The memorials for the Twin Towers II plan are far less expensive to maintain and simpler. The entire Twin Towers II plan is also Green.

last night i had a dream about driving by new york and seeing the freedom tower and its surrounding buildings in the skyline. in that dream i thought when seeing the freedom tower "there's the big trophy for the terrorists" and then saw signs and posters of new york with the old twin towers still in it and heard people saying that those pictures remind them of 9-11.

Not to mention Ken Gardner's plan could be built much faster than the official plan because you not building four different office towers at different heights with scores of different floor plates. The new Twin Towers are essentially mirror images of each other. The Twin Towers could be topped out by September 11, 2011.

The Freedom Tower may been Green but the official memorials aren't. I heard it costs like 4 million dollars to maintain the memorials. That includes keeping the waterfalls heated so the water doesn't freeze and they are likely to remain shut down for much of the year. 4 million dollars to maintain these memorials is irresponsible and uncalled for. The memorials for the Twin Towers II plan are far less expensive to maintain and simpler. The entire Twin Towers II plan is also Green.

Don't you people get it? The Port Authority has all the control so nothing we do or say can make them change their mind. The Twin Towers are gone, I hate it I want them back but I don't know what more there is to do. Chris Ward is making all the wrong decisions. Silverstein still has no rights to the site because the PA hasn't fucking finished excavating the site for Towers 2 & 3. This is about real estate, not what people want. The only thing there for the people is the 9/11 memorial and museum

Ken Gardner has no legal rights to the site so his plan means nothing to the Port Authority. This new plan is about real estate, luring in as many tenants a possible. The Port Authority feels new Twin Towers will be feared by people and they will choose never to work there but I don't believe that will happen. I want the Twin Towers back but that won't happen as long as the Port Authority has control.

What good would showing support do? The Twin Towers Alliance has no meaning to the government. People like you and I would approve of it but the government doesn't care. I will never give up on the Twin Towers but I have faced reality. Well why can't everyone win the lottery, why can't we all get what we want? If it were that easy the world would be a better place but it isn't. With the presence of government and politics our lives are miserable. As for the Trade Center, the Port Authority is building this new complex for tenants and to restore the office space lost on 9/11. They should build an above ground memorial like Ken Garner but they had to choose Arad's plan. I hate the Fredom Tower and Daniel Libeskind, what a waste.

Why because I choose to face reality instead of living in some dream world. I lost my hope for the Twin Towers returning. I wish it were possible but right now I don't know. Construction has already started on Tower 4 and the 9/11 Memorial. 1 WTC or the Freedom Tower is getting ready to rise so I don't see how Ken Gardner can build on top of what's already been done. You make everything seem easy but it really isn't. That's reality.
