Ohio sucks, every fucking city is ghetto and ugly: Columbus, Cleavland, Youngstown, Dayton, Cincinnati, Akron, and Toledo. Every city is so ugly. No wonder Ohio is in the top 10 of most unemployed. Cleveland is the next Detroit, Youngstown is dangerous as fuck, fuck Ohio.

It's really the state motto, and there was a law suit filed against Ohio in 97(i think)

It was unsuccesful because it was said that the motto didn't refer to any specific God.

It was suggested by a 12-year old boy in a motto contest, and he found it in the bible.

I'm proud of my state, but the one thing I like least about Ohio is that it is Republican. the Northeast part, where I live, is fortunately pro-Obama, I just hope that is reflected on the voting of the whole state. McCain isn't that bad, but Obama is the answer, and the things some of you McCain fans say and believe are ridiculous. Like saying he is a terrorist or a Muslim. First of all, he's not Muslim. But what if he was!!! There's nothing wrong with being a Islamic!!!

Yeah I know, and I am proud of that, and I kinda said it wrong, what I meant was that I don't like the fact that it was a red state i the 2004 election, and that it was even close to be pro-mccain. But I guess none of that really matters, and you're right about what you said. I was only referring to who we voted for previously in the Presidential election

to frphilipmullen- i was looking at anthems for states where i've lived, and i came upon your comment. i guess i can't get away from you. i agree that there is an unorganized spiritual church that has existed since the beginning of humanity. it includes the christian saints as well as moses and abraham and abel, and so forth. nonetheless, there is also an organized christian church that began after christ's incarnation. matt 16:18 shows that the church began after he made the statement.

yea, i used to live near the town associated with the tv show "wkrp in cincinnati". the town has a big statue showing pigs with wings. i recall the ohio motto. i now live in florida where the state motto is "in god we trust". the words "in god we trust" can be found on the state flag of florida. i believe that it is the only state flag that contains the word "god" on it. ohio has a strangely shaped flag. it looks as if someone chewed pieces out of it.
