well thats depressing, good thing I have just never taken any liking to meat my parents always have to force me to eat it, it's like if someone hates strawberries and so you make them eat some every day. i know most people think of it as what it is(food) and not what it was (a living thing) but ever since I was little and I learned that beef=cow I always thought of it as "that gross dead stuff they make me put in my mouth" and even after getting food poisoning from kfc at age8 they still make me
You do of course realize that Vegan diets support the murder of countless conscious life forms regardless of the propaganda you may want us to believe you are aware of the deaths of animals for your food aren't you?
Whether you are a carnivore, omnivore or herbivore, the predator-prey mechanism exists. The fact is at our population size as a species, we couldn't sustain ourselves without industrial agriculture. The fact is regardless of how bad you feel for Animals being slaughtered daily, more extinctions have been caused by industrial agriculture. It's made more species go extinct than any other man-made process and is far more destructive, but without it even as vegetarians humans couldn't survive
@fsufan850 I always hear this argument, that without factory farms, we wouldn't survive... that's ridiculous. Vegetarians and Vegans survive everyday... I'm not advocating either, although I am a vegetarian and strongly encourage it. We eat FAR too much meat, and is shown in the high prevalence of heart disease and the deaths it causes. We use up SO many resources in factory farms, simply so these corporations can make money. It's not for us, it's for them... don't be fooled
NOBODY is a libertarian or believes in "choice" if they eat meat.
ANYBODY who yaps on about how gov't should not interfere with business,
or take away their gun rights, or yap about the most insignificant intrusion by gov't to their bullshit religious choices, but eats meat, should be sent to prison for life in a coffin, then tortured to death, so that they know what REAL lack of choice is - like animals in factory farms experience.
my family eats from the garden in the back yard (veggies galore!) and from the forest that surrounds us (deer -which i assure you are WAY over the population limit where i live- mushrooms, wild fruits, herbs, nuts, etc.) a lot of folks are "anti-hunting" and i can understand how it can bother some, but we hunt (or harvest)for survival, not for "sport". factory farms are a crying shame :( say no to the meat under plastic @ the grocery store- go organic, go hunting!
A bunch of Mexican immigrants do most of your farming so you do realize everytime you take a bite of that delicious salad some illegal immigrant who probably doesnt wash himself and probably just got done wiping his ass and didnt wash his hands handles your food so enjoy that tasty salad.
I love this video but now I am hungry so let's go to BK and get a whopper and some delicious chicken nuggets on me and after you taste this tasty treat you feel bad about your choice i will grab you some napkins that you can cry into while finishing off your second whopper.
I think the point of this video is not to imply that the entire meat industry causes this negitive effect but it IS initiated by the FACTORY farms. The little mom and pops farms are also greatly effected by the FACTORY farm industry. It seems to me that alot of you out there are fighting for something that is irrelavent and not coming to a solution to this problem that effects YOU, ME and the ENVIROMENT. So lets not fight here and truely Listen to the message that this video has to offer :)
@buffwahine1 I must agree with you. A great documentary "Food, Inc." is available free on line. It's a real eye opener for many who think that the neatly wrapped package of flesh in the grocery store comes from ma and pa "happy and healthy" farms. Quite the opposite and this documentary shows the "few" corporate giants that control our food.
The link is posted under my profile if you are interested. ;o)
Well this was a fun video to watch now me and my friends are going to cook up some steaks let me know when you move from fiction to non fiction it would be interesting to see. Until then all i can say is i like my steaks medium rare mmmmmmmmmmm tasty animals.
100% factual Thank you for posting this video.Factory farms are killing the environment and that will lead to our deaths in the end.BUT,have we come too far to turn back?Mankind will always find a way to try and prove that factory farming is sustainable when it's NOT.Veggie farming won't destroy the world and everyone will have lots to eat.Try it, you'll like it!!!
These animals did not "sacrifice" their lives... they were "killed" - needleslly at that. Man does not need "meat" to thrive - indeed it's not good for human health, destructive to the planet and horrible for the animals. We could feed the world over again on a plant based diet - Evolve. Go Vegan
Excellent compilation of how the meat industry ACTUALLY operates. It seems half of the comments on here want to stick with the blue pill...saddening. Oh how greed and self-concern permeate all of society.
In what way is it BS or propaganda? It provides factual evidence as to why meat production is killing the environment. For the most part (perhaps all) it is not promoting an opinion, it's just stating reality. If it's unture, it can be exposed by contradictory factual evidence.

what i have come to realize is that animal right psychos will say and post anything to get their point across. most of what they say cant be proven. they are worse than religious zealots. the truth is to them is just an inconvenience.
That's true, people like peta have used deceitful and underhanded tactics to get their point across, I'm just saying that this video doesn't really fall into that category b/c it's providing clear disprovable evidence which can be countered by peer review.
Understood: people like to put dead animals in their live bodies... they are like animals & MUST condone killing just for one's own insatiable taste buds...I feel sorry for these people. They just do as were instructed by their meat eating ancestors; easy to spot blind followers of society. Scientific education like Quantum Physics? World's top physicists are VEG. They understand Universal Law. I tell friends, eating a dead body is worse than eating waste products. "Garbage in, garbage out."
Thank you for your comment. Your question is an excellent one, and points to an even bigger question; should we be producing this much meat at all? It is a well-written-about prediction that the human population will plateau at about 10 billion people. For all of those people to consume at the rate of Americans would require 4-5 planet Earth's. Within that that, the Earth doesn't have the resources to feed the meat that people would want to eat. Responsible diets demand less or no meat.

i hant eating meat for 2 years and i will never go back. do you have this or anything avalibe on dvd for non internet sheep than need to be inlightend?
I'm afraid that I don't have anything available on DVD. I could probably be sued by 15 different organizations if I tried to sell DVDs of this video.
I am pleased that you decided to become a vegetarian, but I urge you to seek out an attitude that will help you to foster a meaningful dialog with your peers. How might you have reacted, before becoming a vegetarian, to being called a "sheep"? There are important things to understand about this issue, among them is making meaningful communication
at the beginning, i thought this was some hippie crap saying not to eat meat, but as you stated those facts...it made me realize that we as an earth have messed up and it only takes a person to make a group, and that group to become an organization, and an organization to affect the people
well thats depressing, good thing I have just never taken any liking to meat my parents always have to force me to eat it, it's like if someone hates strawberries and so you make them eat some every day. i know most people think of it as what it is(food) and not what it was (a living thing) but ever since I was little and I learned that beef=cow I always thought of it as "that gross dead stuff they make me put in my mouth" and even after getting food poisoning from kfc at age8 they still make me

For an ideal compromise between carnivorism and vegetarianism, find out about mammaltarianism, a diet that excludes most mammal-meat.
Search "Mammaltarian" on YouTube.
Go mammals!
