I'm not advocating either, although I am a vegetarian and strongly encourage it. We eat FAR too much meat, and is shown in the high prevalence of heart disease and the deaths it causes. my family eats from the garden in the back yard (veggies galore!) and from the forest that surrounds us (deer -which i assure you are WAY over the population limit where i live- mushrooms, wild fruits, herbs, nuts, etc.) a lot of folks are "anti-hunting" and i can understand how it can bother some, but we hunt (or harvest)for survival, not for "sport". factory farms are a crying shame :( say no to the meat under plastic @ the grocery store- go organic, go hunting!

I think the point of this video is not to imply that the entire meat industry causes this negitive effect but it IS initiated by the FACTORY farms. The little mom and pops farms are also greatly effected by the FACTORY farm industry. It seems to me that alot of you out there are fighting for something that is irrelavent and not coming to a solution to this problem that effects YOU, ME and the ENVIROMENT. So lets not fight here and truely Listen to the message that this video has to offer :)

@buffwahine1 I must agree with you. A great documentary "Food, Inc." is available free on line. It's a real eye opener for many who think that the neatly wrapped package of flesh in the grocery store comes from ma and pa "happy and healthy" farms. Quite the opposite and this documentary shows the "few" corporate giants that control our food.

Thank you for your comment. Your question is an excellent one, and points to an even bigger question; should we be producing this much meat at all? It is a well-written-about prediction that the human population will plateau at about 10 billion people. For all of those people to consume at the rate of Americans would require 4-5 planet Earth's. Within that that, the Earth doesn't have the resources to feed the meat that people would want to eat. Responsible diets demand less or no meat.
