  • Is that part at 3:30 in any other tracks? bc either i'm hallucinating, or i've really heard it in another track....

  • Baltar is the Jesus of the Battlestar Galactica Universe.

  • @Seriath1 What? No way. I'd say that's Kara.

  • @mypizzaisburnt come on man i mean he has a cult and folowers all that crap...plus the beard :))

  • @GoatDaddyVersion2 Nothing letf to watch.."SciFi" channel keeps cancelling everything labeled SciFi

  • "I see Angels"

  • Baltar is easily the most complex character of science fiction in the last 30 years.

  • @Coelacanth1938 I'd put Tigh up there for consideration.

  • 3:29 to 3:51 sounds familiar

i think its the sam melody like in martial law

  • I love how in the end Baltar was able to come to terms with his own life. That was the most redeeming quality I saw in him, and I think that is why we like him.

  • Remember Baltar is God's instument....... And Six is his Angel.

  • Baltar's Church With Benefits!!

  • Balter fraked just about everyone on the series; except for Roslin, or did he?

  • I'm not sure either, but he sure wanted to, if you go by the dream that he had when he first arrived on the Basestar in Season 3.

  • ew......

  • Its true! AND my favorite character just for that.

  • Bear somehow manages to make a soft yet melodic beat feel like the forefront of an epic battle a very uplifting yet soft song, makes me feel like waking up to this every morning love it

  • although Baltar is one of the most important yet aggravating characters in the series, he's selfish and a coward, not to mention he betrayed the entire human race and caused all of this in the first place, yet I still like him despite all that why? I don't know... maybe it's becuase he gets all the best character themes, if you listen all music associated with baltar is the best - Dark Unions, Cult of Baltar, Baltars sermon etc

  • Don't forget Someone to Trust. Gets me every time.

  • I am sure it was not his intention to betray humanity. He thought it was a harmless act that would get him some. I think he means well, just his own selfishness and ego get sin the way.

Interesting character, but the constant rewrites made a lot of the scenes with him meaningless, such as the parts leading up to Adama giving him weapons. All a waste a film, since the show was quickly ending and the scenes were all mooted by with the abandoning of the ship.

  • Not really. Baltar never used the bomb to make his Cylon detector. The bomb that was given to the Six aboard Cloud Nine was, almost certainly, the bomb Adama gave him. If it weren't for Baltar giving the bomb to C9 Six (Gina), she would have never used it, thus the radiation signature the Cylons used to detect New Caprica wouldn't exist, thus we, according to canon, would almost certainly be having this discussion on New Caprica rather than "New" Earth.

  • Recall he was given two or three bombs.

  • If I recall correctly, the Galactica, during the episode when Adama gives Baltar the nuke, only has about a half-dozen warheads on board. I highly doubt that anyone in that situation would be willing to give up nearly, if not more than, half of what could be considered their last potential defense against an attack. I know I sure wouldn't.

And either way, the number of bombs doesn't matter. The fact was, according to canon, the Cylons found New Caprica because of the radiation from the bomb.

  • no..c.os the reason why it happend was to propell them to new earth...rember it was virtual six who told gaius to get the bomb..then his love for gina was to help har cause so he gave it to her...and she relisded she loved him but was still a threat so ...boom...it was all part of the plan bein created by the vituals six and baltar or the angels whatever they were

  • he was tricked in to betraying the human race but for the most part you are right but towards the end of the show he changes

  • I agree with you Arcilios.

Baltar's actions could've been easily misunderstood if it weren't for Bear McCreary's musical undertones.

That character had strong writing and a terrific actor to play him, but give credit to McCreary for giving him appropriate music.

  • thats the thing though...baltar represents what humaity is now...least the majority..but in the end he relises the truth and redeems himself...thats what the shows about...changing
