  • i love how your soo real and out there with how you truly are. i love how you are open and say fuck and shit without even caring. it makes you really likely and makes me want to watch more of your videos.

  • Great tip :]

I just switched over to from pencil eyeliner to MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and I also got the 266 brush. But it's harder for me to use 'cause I'm so use to the control I get with a pencil and I have a really bad eyesight (-5.00) and I don't wear contacts so it's hard to see where to put the liner on without having to literally put my face up against the mirror.

Hopefully, with your tutorial I can figure out and get use to using fluidline :]

  • lmfao! 4:11

  • where do you get urban decay from?

  • i ordered this liner about a week ago and

i just got it today and it was really

easy to put on i love it!

but do you know if its water proof or not?

    oh good video btw :]

  • umm ummm umm - LOL

    cool? i guess.

  • your eyes are so pretty!! =]]

  • i foudn this very useful thannks

now im gonna go buy me some fluideyeliner =]

  • I'm jealous of your almond shaped eyes ;)

  • hey i bought mac's fluid line and you make it seem so easy to apply but when i tried to do it on myself it ends up WRONG...and as i was watching this video you said that it's really easy to fuck an eye up and i proved that so do you got any tips for this asian chic beginner? HELP HELP HELP!!!! I feel like i'm wasting the product and it's not cheat so give me some tips gurl.

  • hey i bought mac's fluidline so it'll be my first time so hope i don't mess up.

    WISH ME LUCK!!!

now that i have fluidline i look at this clip for tips.

  • pssh. almond eyes are pretty. some good tips.

  • less talking, more lining.

    LEESHA FTW!

  • Uhm... I agree. LEEEEEEEEESHA!

  • too much talking and lots of of pauses.. just get to the point.

  • hey amy.. what's the difference between the 266 and 208 on application results?

  • i love fluidline! thanks for the tutorial. :)

  • ah i'm gonna try out fluidline.. can anyone tell me if its waterproof?

  • it's not waterproof but it stays very well. if you're looking for waterproof, liquidlast liners are for you :)

  • wow this really helped i got fluidline like a month ago but i rarely use it b/c i dont now how 2 apply it,i try 2 apply like the MAC makeup artist did with it winged out but it never comes out the way i want it 2 so maybe u could do a video about how 2 do it but anyways im going 2 attemt 2 use it

    thanks

  • omg thanks for this video, i just got fuildline the other day and i kept trying to put it on correctly now i tried it and i dont look like a freakin' idiot, anyway thanks for posting vids! u really helped.

  • Hi are you on Makeup Alley?

  • Why would you make your eyes less round?

  • because i like them better almond shaped

  • so kewl good tips now i know how

  • Oh, and Amy, Another brush that works well for f/l is the 209. I used the 266 for a few years until I bought the 209, it seems easier for me, especially if you want to add a wing at the end, the 266 is too long and bulky for wings. (IMHO)

  • for the fluidline, at mac, they use the eyeliner brush, it works much better but i looove urban decay so have fun with it! :)

  • mac cosmetics are simply the best.

  • i would love if u took s apic of ur make-up. bet its awesome xxxx

  • since you have a small forehead you shouldn't make such a thick line above your eyes (in my opinion) you should concentrate on the line below your eye.

  • what was the name of the second brush you used to go over the application of fluidline and make it into a nice, even line?

  • she used the 266 brush the whole time :)

  • Sorry can't find user "debauchery".

  • I dont use MAC but I bought fluidline in iris eyes. Do you have that shade? I feel like it doesnt go on smooth and even like it does in your tutorial. It seems to drag a bit.

  • I don't have Iris Eyes. What brush are you using to apply?

  • I'm using a Tony and Tina angled brush. I tried a flat head brush from sephora and that didnt work well either. The T&T brush is a little bit better but its still hard to apply in a thin line because the consistency isnt very smooth/liquidy. It end up looking like a thick line/eyeshadow. I guess I could always use it as a smudgeproof eyeshadow! lol. I have to get blacktrack though.

  • Iris Eyes is great because you can use it as an eyeshadow or a base. However, the consistency of the fluidline should be smooth. It's not liquidy, it's more like (I'm drawing a blank on what to compare it to, so forgive this:) peanut butter... if that makes any sense? If you feel that perhaps your fluidline isn't good (in that it's dried out) bring it back to MAC. They should replace it without question, though, OR I've heard that you can spray it with FIX+ to put the moisture back in.

  • Oh well in that case it really IS smooth hehe. I guess it just takes practice. I might try a liner brush to see how that works. So far I like the color and how it doesnt smudge or crease. My problem is that when I try to get it on in a thin line, thats what it looks like, like creasing creme eyeshadow. So when I try to get rid of the crease effect, it turns into a thicker line/eyeshadow. haha oh well

  • Okay, now I know what you mean. Use the MAC 266 or a similar brush. The thinner the brush the thinner the line. Dip the brush into the fluidline and then wipe each side off on the side of the container. This will make the brush, now full with color, even thinner. That gives you a bit more control. The tutorial should explain the rest but YES, practice practice PRACTICE!

  • hehehe thanks for the tips!! :)

  • *gasp* i've never heard of that before, spraying fix+ in the fluidline to re-moisturize it... I might have to try that, my blitz n glitz is waaay too dry i was gonna just bring it back to MAC for back2mac.

  • Great tutorial!

    thanks a lot:)

  • How much did tat all cost???

  • Hmmm I don't have what you were using, but I would like to know, if possible, how to apply eyeliner (pencil) to the top. I can never do it.

  • you are very, very sweet

  • with or without lining, your eyes look hot to me ;)

  • thanks amy =] xxx awesome video xxx

  • do they sell mac make-up in the uk? does anyone know???

  • Yes, they do.

  • How do you think the effect changes when you do or don't line the bottom of your lashes?

  • haha makeup tips and humor, very nice

  • Thanks for the tips! Going to shop for mac colors online now!

  • Yay for the reference to Debauchery! Im a big poster on the LJ community :) Do you post FOTDs there?

  • who has time to do that every mornin?

  • girls that need and want to wear make up?

  • This was really good. Only decent eye liner application I've seen here on YouTube. Snaps.

  • good job~~~I did not know how to use it before I saw your video slip~ I do not know why i bought it~haha

    thanks~

  • yay! i have graphic brown, and blitz and glitz, or whatever, and another plain black. i love it!

  • Wow! Fluidline can be hard to work with. I love the tips!

  • i love how you have such a positive look on your make up. Not only are you very skilled you're on a level like everyone else so your video blogs can help others. you should really think of a this being something more as a lisenced esthetics make up artist. which is what i'm doing =] only 5 months!

  • Does the fluidliner really last as long as everyone says it does? I have two powerpoint pencils (engraved, bountiful brown) but I've noticed that fluidliner's pigmentation is a little stronger. It seems like everytime I put on my engraved it looks more gray than black! LOL I'm going shopping once my roommate pays me!!

  • Hey girl i made a video for u

  • i love your work amy

you really need to post more. lol

  • thnx for this video ur reli gud at giving advice and ur make up luks reli gud

  • thanks for making this tutorial? question: is 266 better than 209 (the eyeliner brush) for applying fluidline?

  • hehe sry my first sentence wasnt't supposed to end in a question mark, but a !.

  • what type of video camera do you use?? I would also like to post makeup vids/tutorials. :D

  • you're gay. if you're thinking about becoming a MAC make up artist.. dont.... you suck!

  • great! =)

    your are very beautiful, btw!

  • Boys shouldn't wear make up. Don't apologise.

  • Thanks for this video! I reccomended this video for a friend who just bought Fluidline from MAC =)

  • ur makeup tips are realli nice...can u tell me some ideas so fix dark circles ?!

  • it's kinda like watching someone painting on a canvas except the canvas is your eyes.

  • i've always been intimidated by eye make-up...great video. all your make-up videos are extremely helpful thanks!

  • I'm actually reallly impressed, i always assume youtube tutorials to be somewhat of a joke, but you've definetly surprised me. You're so knowledgeable and personable, i can see that makeup is a passion of yours and i believe that if you were to go into cosmetology, youd go very far. Your tips are really helpful even though i wasn't really looking for any to begin with. Thanks and keep making videos, your definetly a favorite.

  • what stores do you buy you MAC products from. I keep ordering it off the net cause I can't find it in any store.

  • You can buy in Nordstrom, Belks, and some Sephora's. I'm sure you can look on their website where their closest location to you is.

  • u use alot of neutral colours which are boring...mac is all about expressing urself in colours and there are more colours n brown n biege!!!

  • If makeup is about expressing yourself why are you telling me what to or what not to wear? Shut the hell up, you have no clue what you're talking about.

  • how about less talking and more make up!! ur make up is plain and boring not like MAC. dont u ever do it like real nice and extravagant? just cuz u buy expensive makeup doesnt mean its going to look good

    thanks bye.

  • your eyebrows CAN be evened out even though you dont seem to think so... and of course, matched to your hair permenantly. I cant enjoy your talent at painting because I cant stop thinking what I would do to those brows!!!

  • By the way, you can use those urbandecay eye shadows with a wet brush like .. for a sharper look, only really looks gd in the bright colours thogh! <3

  • u r very good and help full and also very pritty ^^

  • Hey Amy, another great video. Can I just ask u wot u use to clean ur brushes?Tryin to keep my MAC brushes in as good a condition as possible! x

  • I use MAC's own brush cleanser! It's only $9 - I've had this bottle since the beginning of June and it's now just above the MAC symbol on the bottle, so it lasts a while. Also, I've had people suggest lots of different things and NOTHING - NOTHING NOTHING - compares to MAC's brush cleanser. Nothing.

  • I do believe I have to get Juxt. I'm like you, brown hair, dark brown eyes.. It looks great on you from what I've seen in your videos.

MAC, why must you be so pretty?

  • im just wondering but what do you think of Jeffree Stars makeup?

  • i think he applies it very well but it's too much for me.

  • great vids. im not too bad at make up but i like watching your vids. anyway...keep it up lol x x x

  • thank you for watching & sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to you!

  • i just recently got into mac and starting watching your tutorials. just the other day i was thinking "that girl should make a fluidline tutorial." and then i get on here and you did! thanks so much. i have a bunch of pigments, but as soon as i get some funds im gonna invest in some fluidline and brushes. you're videos are a huge help. <3

  • i had a few other requests for a fluidline tutorial, i hope it helps. if you ever have a request or a question, feel free to ask me and i'll try my best to answer!

just as a recommendation i use the 266 brush for fluidlines - it's a small angled brush and works perfectly!

thanks for watching, and thanks for the feedback!

  • Can you please give the URL to the makeup group you mentioned?

  • no problem! http://community.livejournal.com/mac_cosmetics/

  • I love fluidlines :)..and Urban Decay Primer Potion is the BEST primer for eyeshadow ever..nice tut :)

  • i too love fluidlines. gosh. i think i may have to buy another graphic brown before the collection goes out, i love it to pieces.

i agree with the primer potion comment!

    thanks for watching!

  • "its really easy to...fuck an eye up." haha cute. :) thanks for the post!

  • hahah yeaaah. no problem, thanks for watching!

  • You have such a great personality and outlook on all that you do. I never really cared much for makeup until I saw how artistic one can make it become. I love your ability to blend everything together so nicely. Keep making videos! You're a real genuine person, as someone said before. Very intelligent, as well. :)

  • i thank you so much for all the compliments, and thank you for watching!

  • I just got into MAC and bought a boat load of pigments. I'm having a hell of a time getting them to stick without having to use a lot and, as you know, the sh*t's expensive. How did that primer work for you? If it didn't work that great, can you recommend something? I just don't want to spend $20 to throw it away. Thanks!

  • first of all, do not throw away the pigments! even if you can't sort this out and make them work for you, you can sell them in a variety of makeup communities and/or ebay, that way you're not at a total loss. so don't throw them away!

second of all, the urban decay primer potion works really well for me, and loads of other people. it feels like a moisturizer, is nude, and generates a surface that pigments and eyeshadows alike are more able to stick to. i like it a lot, and i do recommend it.

  • alternatively, in the future you can also invest in shadesticks and cream based eye shadows that will create a similar surface on the eye. you can purchase one that is true to your skin tone, or you can get coloured ones that will add to your look when combined with pigments.

good luck and let me know what you decide, and how it works!

  • I found some cheap stuff that Loreal makes as a primer and it works great. I have to admit, I'm clueless about this stuff. I must have done my makeup 8 times this weekend! I will get good! I'm such dork. Thank you for the tips :-)

  • MAC paint is god is the makeup world :)

  • That was great! I loved it.

  • thank you! and thanks for watcihng :)

  • Thanks so much for the video. You seem like a really sweet and genuine person, and your video is really great! Thanks again! :)

  • thank you for watching, and thank you for the wonderful compliments!! it was no problem at all. :) <3

  • thank you!

  • no problem, thank you for watching!
