  • Master Peter Wu Shi-zheng is Grand Master Hong Jun Sheng's student...

  • source: my master a real taiji practicer for 30 years from china he rarely does this kind of demonstrations unless someone insist real hard because instead of pushing ppl away he almost always breaks their arms it's not controllable by the defender but is up to the attacker if they push too hard (they always do) they will get their arms broken for sure so whenever you see these demonstration they are most likely fake especially on the internet

  • the real fajin can never be used as attack because if the oppoent doesnt hold his arms tightly straight the power will be easily absorbed when he bend them so fajin only works when the opponent is actively punching or pushing you with great force so he cannot bend his arms right away

and if you push someone's body and send them flying it's not fajin no matter how far you blow them away that's just pure barbaric force

  • @machbreaker i must disagree, real fajin can be applied through the arms or body and does not need the opponent to be stiff. if the opponent needs to lock his arms then this is not the real jin.

  • @andymach33 and others There is also more than one level of this skill, and so we then can realise that what we see demonstrated is a mix of levels. If force is detected at any level then it will be sufficient to be acted upon with skilled fajin expression - but I believe there has to be some force to begin.

  • so fake those guys never change their gravity center they are obviously jumping back if they are pushed away the gravity center must change

  • I just came from Master Peter Wu's workshop. I believe! You guys have to see, touch do some push hands with him. You won't regret this.

  • For all those people who think this is fake - it is not. I know Peter Wu and what you are seeing here, although it looks very theatrical, is quite real. The energy that Peter can generate is quite remarkable. Given that most of viewers have not met or trained with Peter don't just jump to false conclusions about his abilities.

  • Fake

  • one word BULLSHIT!!

  • one word BULLSHIT!!

  • tell that guy to try his fa jing in ufc.

  • i dont believe this guy. He doesnt even have a good physical ballance... can be pushed easily. And he is too young to have such power.

  • Oh and let me tag along with the quote... Pierre Berton says -> "You're talking to Longstreet p l a y e d by James Francesco" Mr. Lee says->"I said empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water..."

  • Ex: If you're standing still and someone struck you in ST32 straight across with fajin you would fall down, not fall back. I still haven't found any other videos with this classification of fajin, but I won't stop looking into it.

  • I don't restrict anything. After you're trained by a master you can unintentionally act along with someone being fake accordingly without knowing. Here's another video [/watch?v=zxxebP0u31g] of different types of fajin (INternal Energy) body shakes, punches, kicks, etc. What's being shown by Master Peter isn't internal because you can see the effect happening outside the body.

  • Thats bullshit!

  • after 21 years of practise with such masters as Yang jwing ming, su dong chen, liang shou yu, ... I can say that fa jing is informal power ready to be used in any ways you make it works. It maybe important 4 U to restrict this energy in 1 particular form or definition, that U will call "the real fa jin"...that's not my way, but I respect yours. be like water my friend..

  • good point. that answers a lot of questions.

  • You hit the nail on the head vince. 'Be like Water.' Bruce Lee was right. It's only when your body is like water can you really issue explosive power. Would you or anyone else out there know any good sites/info on 'Spontaneous Qigong?'

  • Real fajin...look up Erle Montaigue - Youtube name->"moontagu"

Fajin makes your opponent drop where he's standing...not bounce up in the air, or fly backwards.

  • Fajin makes your opponent do what you want, it is informal. Most people that have their "club mentality" think that it should be like this or that, otherwise it is not the "real" stuff...this is restrictive not creative.

  • ^That's not fajin, that's bad acting.

Erle is known all over the worldby martial arts experts for his expertise in many styles (old and new) of fighting/healing. Even Bruce Lee said when you hit some one you must snap it back...exactly what Mr. Montaigue is doing except it wasn't called fajin when Mr. Lee was explaining it.

  • How can you infer this just by watching a vid...?

If you are thrown meters away up in the air, will you consider it "wrong" fajin ? Bruce lee was talking about striking fajin maybe, not throwing fajin I suppose...

  • Fajin is internal energy that does not make you fly back at all. I've looked on many websites, and other videos/video sites. The shock is put into your body. The description says "Issuing of Taijiquan explosive power..." and that guy or his students don't look like they're exploding. I don't mean exploding litterly. Like sneezing...you're whole body twitches in a violent jerk...thats fajin except you haven't linked it to a strike. I'll keep my eyes and mind open though.

  • Just because they are well known does that make them the most qualified authority on fajin or internal arts for that matter. Have you ever felt fajin or are you basing your opinions on what someone said its supposed to look like in a video?

  • there are so many different types of *jin*. Fajin means to let out the internal energy. Different types of Jin have different effects on an enemy. being uprooted isn't faking, you can't stop the force. and it only takes a very minor movement for the masters to fajin, you wont see any snap backs at all. Yes, I've been the target, I know how it feels.

  • Fajin can manifests in many ways. You are confusing the application of it here...the goal is to demonstrate with a partner NOT kill partner!

  • cool xD
