Downloaded music is a laughable concept. Why pay for a license to listen to music only in the ways which the labels have deemed that they think you should? I only buy CDs. that way, I have a lossless, uncompressed physical copy that I can hold in my hands, plus as many compressed digital versions as my heart desires with no DRM or "protection" of any kind.

My Squeezebox Classic doesn´t have a builtin speaker but does have a high quality analog and digital output on the back and a far larger LCD-screen.

Btw internet radio stations keep getting better and bitrates keep getting higher. In some years, you may find a standalone internet radio in most households - wouldn´t be surprised.

No reason for that if you have a smart phone. I use my blackberry to get pandora and slacker and can play it using the speakerphone on my phone, and i also hook it into my car stereo and home stereo.

no actually, I worked on both Internet radio and local radio and local radio has a greater music kilobites. Internet radio is only 128kbps while the old school once are much higher.

Hmm, is that it? That is quite low but I live in a valley and no one gets any reception anywhere in our city except for ONE local station that plays music for about an hour a day. If I had a 3G phone I'd probably stream Pandora from it to my car.

Well that's the bad thing about old style radio stations. The satellite can only cover so much grounds. The small radio station I worked at for a while only covered the city I was in (which respectively isn't that big at all). Local radio is becoming obsolete because of that step back. That's why when you have an iPhone (or any smart phone) then it is pretty much useless to get local radio because you are getting so much free internet radio. Not cd quality, but it gets the job done.

Google have run'd this site to TRASH! i mean come on i get lots of "an error accured, please try later" and the videos are slow, some AVIs are banned becouse of copyright, Google is youtube, youtube is google. i say F U GOOGLE! BUT the good thing is that we maybe will get a new OS from them, im having high hopes on it. Microsoft is bad. Tho i use Windows XP i dont like the new OSe's.
