dont worry about the hole, you dont need to make it. all you need to do is put a set of stairs underground and it will make them come up on the first floor. you're welcome.

If you mean in the floor so that you could see down the "Open basement" way, its the tool that looks like a hammer, and when you put your mouse over it it says Sledgehammer-J

thats not how the cheat code is. the real cheat code for the sims 2 is boolProp testingcheatsenabled true. with no capital b on "bool" hope that helped. and remember you have to press shift and then select an object to do anything with it using the cheat code

@HonoKilljoys1234 Click and drag, click the mouse button without releasing it and drag. For the foundation press "ctrl" key, that's the key to remove almost everything, if not everything, that means it works with floors, walls... another key is "shift" with that key you can build much faster, works with floor and wall paint, try it.

If you don't have it clear you can ask again.

when I use the level out tool, it automatically levels it to the highest piece of land, which makes making a basement pretty much impossible. How do you do it so that it levels out to the lowest piece of land? Answers/help appreciated

@talkingbird2992 You must start leveling on the lowest piece of land, not on the highest, I mean when you do the "mouse click" it should be on the lowest and then drag to the highest... its so simple I can't even explain it to you :/

I love english from england not american, but is much difficult than american english, I watch a serie called "Doctor Who" wich is in english from england and I love it. Another way to learn english is to sing alot of songs, like that, you will know how to pronounce alot of words and learn some -words- that you never knew that existed :P :)

Basically when he started he used a deck from the start. This is why it only takes 12 taps.

Wasted lot of time upgrading reg home Trying too add a basement from within.

This basement setup can only have an external garage :(

I found an easier way to make the basement instead of clicking twelve times. Use three sets of independent stair cases, the ones that go up to a porch. Make the second one start at the bottom of the first one, then the third one after that. Remove those stairs, and use the bottom floor as the basement floor. Works for me.

@Dr4k3fullOn3 did you try typing in the cheat "moveObjects on" before trying to put in the stairs? if you use the stairs that are meant for patios etc, it is easier. it may have been telling you something like "can't place bottom stair" if you type in the moveObjects on cheat you should be able to place the stairs after that. good luck!

@minxbyheart94 Go to terrain in build tools and there are floor elevation/ depression tools one of them has a wedge like thing (level terrain) if I remember right that's the one. when u click it the the floor will light up bright green where you place it and drag to the corner till the bright green covers the area you want to flatten! hope it helped.

I tried doing it how the video demonstrates, but unfortunately, it didn't work out to well. I was able to make a basement, but it didn't look nearly as good. I couldn't get the stairs to stay in the basement since I apparently had some floating chunk of space to put flooring, but if you use the stairs that you need to walk up the deck thing, it'll automatically fit from the bottom to the top. Confusing, a little, Lol. I'm not good at explaining. xD
