We stayed in Tomball with my brother during the storm, and even that far north, he still had broken windows and a pool full of the neighbors unsecured patio furniture. The ride home to La Porte was anxious, at best. The closer we got, the more damage there was. They were checking ID's before you could go into town to keep looters out. I can see the bay from my house and did not expect it to survive, but it did. Went without electric for 2 weeks. Two blocks away, entire houses were washed away.
