  • they went with bonjovi and all the others and they didint get no where ...

  • The documentary is excellent, also touching, one can really feel their pain. I feel bad for these guys who are genuine people & true musicians, I also admire their continuous dedication & persistence, wishing them all the success they truly deserve, rock on Anvil !!

  • Anvil = Dedication !

    its sad

    we have labels like roadrunners who pay shit bands like slipknot millions of dollars

    and other crappy satanic bands

    and anvil.... they just got neglected

    FUCK YOU RECORD LABEL COMPANIES !

    kill em all !

    ANVIL = WIN !

  • UP THE IRONS!!!!!

  • Thats dumb that he has to telemarket for money! Man wtf Anvil is like one of the best bands in the freaking world and their singer/guitar player is telemarketing for money? Thats stupid! -_-

    I cant wait till I see the movie, its gunna be great.

  • The movie is very, very worthwhile. The difficulty of telemarketing or preparing school meals and then being a rock god are such opposing worlds!

  • cool story.

  • OMG, back in 1982 I worshiped Anvil like Gods and thought they were going to be rich HUGE rock stars. If someone had have told me back then that in 25 or so years Lips would be riding a BICYCLE to a mundane telemarketer's job, I would've looked at them like they had two heads! I hope this film gets Anvil their just desserts, they've certainly paid their dues.

  • It would really kill you to know that I took guitar lessons from him, through a city of toronto program at a community centre 6 or 7 years ago. he was the coolest guy ever, gave the kids who didn't get it scales to work on and taught me cat scratch fever, iron man and the batman theme. super cool guy, its awesome to see him and his band back in the spotlight.

  • I want to see this film i think i may even cry because I grew up listening to them and you know when you're a kid you really think of them as heroes and think they are invincible unknowing or what goes on behind the scenes I guess,they never really sold out either they were and still are a proud Heavy Metal band God,it just saddens me to think yeah sure they partied it up too but I truly feel they deserved and still deserve a lot more..

  • Keep putting up these insights.
