  • Who the hell are the Wretched!

  • @lakar16: a singing group

  • their original plan wouldnt have worked. cuz the "thief" would have said he found it at that donut shop. and the girls would have no witness to say they were in NY....>_>

  • @ruairi15 Vanessa, maybe, but not the other girls.

  • @ruairi15 ..dressed like what???

  • @ruairi15 HUH?? NO THEYRE NOT

  • how old is vanessa in this episode?

  • @camilouwalk 16.

  • "And you didn't even make me LAUGH!"

"Well, it wasn't my fault you didn't get it!" HAHA OLIVIA'S GOT SASS!!

  • I love all of Olivia's facial expressions ! Even today Raven at 25 years old Raven still has those same facial expressions. :)

  • cliff: "no more! no more 'next joke'! because these jokes are not funny. i don't understand them and you are just telling things and taking bows now that's it!" ha ha!!

  • @cracktastic21 lmaoooooo

  • @cracktastic21 I LOVE that part!!! I love how even though she's only about 5, and most people just laugh to encourage kids at that age, he doesn't! He doesn't humor her by pretending it's funny ... he just puts it out there. "i don't understand them and they're not funny" ... who tells a five year old that??? HAHAHA

  • I hate the girl whose a friend of vanessa. Cars come and cars go? i wont even hang out with a friend like that

  • @75lotus1

Actually, I blame BOTH parents in this case. It is just that we hear Claire more than he hear Cliff take an active role in meting out the discipline. Cliff has defaulted in his role was the leader in that home so Claire has had to compensate. That's why she seems so witchy a lot of the time. That's why A LOT of women are so witchy these days. The men have basically "passed the buck".

My father was a good leader. My stepfather isn't. My mother was sweet and kind regarding my FATHER!

  • I like that Vanessa and all of her friends are normal-sized teenagers instead of being super skinny like some of the women on TV nowadays. :)

  • is it just me or did it say that Malcolm Jamal Warner directed this episode?

  • Isn't it nice to see young women looking lady like? No hip huggers. No baby doll shirts. None of those disgusting pierceings! The younger people say that those of us older, and I'm a proud 39, are out of touch with them. And I'm glad I am. But generally everyone feels that today's youth are the absolute worst. This universal feeling is true....all genrations think the one(s) before were a mess. But these young people truly are disturbed.......

  • @mrbrandon71 I understand where you are coming from, but I hardly think tight t-shirts, pants, or piercings, are grounds to call an entire generation "disturbed."

  • @GryfinWing It's much more than the things I mentioned. But I just named a few obvious things.....lol.

  • @mrbrandon71 What other things besides the obvious then?

  • @GryfinWing We all know it goes further than this.

  • @groovylocks I don't believe that our current generation is any worse than those that came before it, times change and fashions change. To call an entire generation disturbed based on current styles isn't justified because each new era brings with it some new form of expression. Though admittedly I will probably feel the same way when I grow older, that the generation I will be living in will be a catastrophe, so maybe its not the new fads that bother people, but possibly the deviation from what

  • @GryfinWing from what we are used to

  • @mrbrandon71 please.. did you SEE the pictures from the 60s and 70s? To say nothing of the rampant sluttiness of the 80s. The reason young people are disturbed is because their parents are morons. Not because of how they dress. Idiotic parenting began in the 70s and has become a cycle of abuse. Blame fucking dr spock. Not clothing. Clothing is just a tiny, tiny part of who you are.

  • Murphy's Law is in full effect this episode lol

  • I also love when she says "It's not my fault you did'nt get it !" just adorable, she's so cute and so was rudy.

  • I love Olivia's face after she tells a part of a joke ! so cute and sassy !

  • Clair and Cliff have always been cheap

  • @qualehapie1 Uh, have you seen all those nice paintings around their house? They're not cheap, they just want their kids to EARN what they get.

  • that olivia drove me nuts with her know-it-all attitude.

  • @ericjfl she is just a child and children who spend alot of time with grown ups act like that. My nephew only hung out with grown ups and he learn to talk early and had a grown up attitude.

  • @ericjfl really?? You're the only person on earth that doesn't automatically melt in the presence of olivia. Tell me.. what do you think of puppies? :D

  • malcom directed a lot of other episodes too

  • i love there family

  • wow theyre losers

  • That's where you punt-a-squeak.

  • It is pretty amazing to see teen girls not wearing belly shirts, exposed thongs and micro minis. I miss those days..........

  • @jewelsthomas I never dressed like that as a teen.

  • @SnugglySara - Point is that it is a hollywood show that is not sexualizing all the girls on the show. It's nice too see. I'm not sure what your responding to in your comment. You didn't wear clothes like the girls on the show or you did wear belly shirt and exposed thongs.

  • @jewelsthomas I meant I never dressed like Britney Spears as a teen.

  • @jewelsthomas yeah self esteem is definitely a thing of the past. So many girls i know notice that if they dress like a whore, they get treated like a whore. And since most of them have dumbasses for parents, no one bothered to explain to them that whores are trash and not beloved. So they dress like whores in a desperate attempt to find the love that they just never get. Which destroys their self esteem . And the worst their self esteem gets, the more whorey they become.

  • @jewelsthomas

But look what they ARE wearing...it isn't much better!

  • @jewelsthomas

Besides, i am amazed the conservative Claire Huxtable wouldn't object to an outfit like Vanessa was wearing when she had such a hissy fit over Vanessa wearing cosmetics when she was deemed "too young" by her mother.

Rather inconsistent sitcom copy in the writing.

  • @dakotagerman1 Well, if you remember in the episode "Mother May I" Claire specifically said that the rule for wearing makeup was at age 15. That was in season 3 and Vanessa was roughly 13. This episode aired in season 6, that would make Vanessa 16; at least mature enough to dress and wear what she wants. So, Claire had been reasonable in some cases, although the show does have some continuity issues.

  • @in10se365

Indeed about the continuity issues! l.o.l. One thing that my antennae tuned into about, was over: SUSAN saying "Things are kinda crazy around the house." (yet, as far as Claire is concerned, Vanessa is staying at SUSAN'S over the weekend??) Claire doesn't even inquire (out of suspicion) about what Susan mentioned?? Consider: Vanessa got into trouble before because of SUSAN!!

Totally out of sync in character of Claire.

  • @dakotagerman1 Very well put. Considering Claire IS a lawyer, she should be skeptical about certain things.

  • @jewelsthomas

I do, too. The parents of today do not watch their kids closely enough anymore.

  • @jewelsthomas Its a TV show. Teen girls were definitely wearing belly shirts and mini skirts in the 80s and 90s lol.

In fact they are wearing them in the episode 'How Do You Get To Carnegie Hall'.

  • Wow! I never noticed Malcolm J-W directed this one! Good eye Kevin!

  • Olivia was so sassy....part of the reason that i like Rudy better. Both were cute girls though

  • is so cool that for this episode one of the cast members on the cosby show which is Malcolm Jamal-Warner directed it
