Mecca is in Saudi Arabia. And Saudi Arabia has been the largest base of operations for American Air Force aircraft since the beginning of the war.

America also relies on that country for storing military gear, vehicles, weapons and food for our soldiers in that region.

If we did "nuke mecca" as you say, it would do more harm than good for US soldiers.
