  • visla puppies are the cutest!

  • awwww ♥♥

  • They forgot to mention the Wire Haired variety, and They didn't even spell their name right! By the Way, they aren't hard to train, and two hours of exercise to way to much, They have got i so wrong! Ask a breeder about them, not Dogs 101!! I have three, and my Vizsla's are a great family pet to my two toddlers!

  • startng at 0:54 thats our family dog henry at 3:38 that' my dad sayng *henry sit* in the full episode it shows some my family + henry

  • @Zs00zsa I agree I have 2 myself and I want their breed name to be spelled correctly especially if it is on tv.

  • Great video. It'd be good if the title would be corrected to 'Vizsla' though, as its the right spelling.

  • I had a vizsla until I was five and he is in almost every baby/toddler picture of me at home. They really are velcro dogs.

  • I have a vizsla and he's one of the most laid back and sweet dog ever

  • @willsorignal my vizsla loves nothing more than to sleep all day but when she's out she loves running through the long grass but she absolutly adores my 3month old baby

  • my visla's definatly not oderless

  • their ancestors the magyar vizslas? LOL

  • noooo, my vislas are so close to dying, damn its gonna be shit when they go

  • "rub a cloth over them every couple weeks, they only need a bath about 4-5 times a year." CRAZY!

  • Also...the only V's prone to hip dysplasia per se are ones from BYB's or Puppy Mills.

  • Ummm... the Vizsla came BEFORE the Weim :)

  • i've grown up with viZslas and they are great around small kids! They also do not need two hours exercise unless they are a pup! They do need some though but two hours a day is extreme and also unrealistic. They are calm and happy to sleep all day too! Would tell anyone that this is the perfect dog!

  • They didn't even spell Vizsla right in the title...

  • Yeah they don't smell, till they roll in a dead animal like every dog does!!;)

  • comes odor free my butt!

  • I hate dog 101 because it makes me want every dog!

  • Lots of mistakes about the origin of vizslas! It' pure HUNGARIAN! Never was crossed with German dogs! GOD created the vizsla and the dogs :)

  • I love Vizslas. I use to have one. She was the best dog ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was so good to me. I

  • I like the video, especially the appearance of my friend Cynthia and her Vizsla Tanner!

  • The implication that people who live in the city are less active than people who don't live in the city is unfair. Also responsible urban dog owners involve our dogs in canine sports and take our dogs on outings to parks, beaches and woods in addition to regular walks. Urban living for both dogs and their owners can be more active than country life.

  • Nice vid and dogs! On our channel, you'll see a video of our Vizsla nursing a kitten, which is so cute ;o)

  • change the title to "Vizsla"...

  • great dogs if you have lots of time or a big yard

  • pretty cool

  • Visla look alot like labs

  • I had a vizsla growing up. His name was Ritchy's Rip-roaring Rebel, because he could run in the yard until the grass was gone! Beautiful dogs!

  • Hát igen. Ebben is mi vagyunk a császárok.

A világ legintelligensebb, erősebb és szebb kutyáját is nekünk Magyaroknak köszönheti.!

  • treadmill is perfect for them

  • @54321blowXupXbarbies

Not well. I swear down my dog moves that the speed of light. He didn't get him but he lunged forward, moth tightly closed, muscles tense and staring eyes after this Visla went for his neck (he ignored most agressive dogs until they get to close), and just stared him out.

The Vislas owner had no control of his dog whatsoever. I called mine off immediately (in the UK, if your staffy attacks, it will be put down by the police, even if its in self defence) and walked away.

  • this breed it a 1000 year old. the ancestor of this dog arrived to the present teritory of hungary a 1000 year ago. in the turkish occupation time the dog was mixed with turkish hunting dogs, and with german hunting dogs and got present look and shape.

  • A Vizla thought it was so hard it could take on my staffie! XD

  • I OWN A VIZSLA YAY :D

  • I hate it when people let dogs lick in their mouth..! yuck!

  • Can anyopne answer this question for me? How large should a backyard be for a vizla?

  • @SuperCherry123456 I would say large enough for you to throw a ball comfortably without worrying you will toss it over the fence, large enough that the dog can get a good run towards one end before turning around and retrieving the ball. I suppose I would have to say a decent sized yard will do as long as there is an area for the dog to sprint freely, such as a dog park or a country-cabin.

  • 1:06 what breed is that?

  • @mkocja5a emo breed DUDE :)

  • I took that dogs 101 dog breed test thing, and it said that this was the best dog for me :), they're so pretty!!!!!!!!! :D

  • the title spelled vizsla wrong..

  • Our Parker is very energetic, smart & most of all affectionate. We wouldn't trade him for the world!

  • I love my Vizsla!! They are so frienldy and come check out the video I posted with my baby vizsla cleaning the cat. Type in "vizsla see what happens to this cat" you Don't want to miss this!!

  • Bullshit, we have a visla that we love like a child and he still stinks like a dog. He sleeps in a clean bed and eats normal doggy meals, He is a smart dog that moves only by following his nose, the better the smell the quicker he moves

  • Wait, so HOW is this not the perfect dog?

  • My first dog just passed away he was a Vizsla 10 years old ... no sign of anything happy as can be then one day he didn't wake up :( Poor little bugger.... It will take awhile until I get another one but I don't think i could get any other breed out there!!

  • it's pronounced [vea-zla]! not [vea-shla]!

    and yes i'm hungarian!

  • I had one when I was a kid. I was about 5 when we got him. He was awesome with m e, except for when he had peed on me that one time, haha. He was a great hunting companion and he would run with me through the yard. My mom was still allergic to him but he was a great pet. miss my Bogie.

  • Very interesting, thank you!

  • The kind of look like labs :o

  • they look like red labs but a different breed

  • Thumbs up if you believe that once you own a Vizsla, you cant love any other breed the same way!

    ~VIZSLA FOREVER~

  • @omgsplace YES YOU ARE TOTALLY RIGHT!

  • I have seven dogs including one Hungarian Vizsla. None of them smells (its always their surrounding not the dog) except for the Vizsla whoes feet relly stink!

  • nice hungarian dog ^^

  • u spelled vizsla in the title wrong

  • my vizsla is absolutely mad but she gets very calm when you stroke her a couple of times, vizslas are the best dogs by far!

  • I wouldn't like a Viszla chasing after me!

  • Have you seen Seven, the Viszla on Hush Little Seven?

  • I absolutely love my vizslas!

  • it's VIZSLA not VISLA!!!!! VIZSLA is a hungarian kind of dog so you should write the name : VIZSLA

  • @maesact igen(yes)

  • The visla is very similar to the rhodesian ridgeback.

  • this reminds me so much of a wiemeraner

  • i love these dogs, and maybe i have this opinion because my family has only ever owned viszlas or wiemeriners... but they do have a smell.. hahaha... i geuss probably not as much as other dogs?

  • @adub22able yeah i have a 13 year old vizsla and all his life he has had a really bad smell unless we wash him every day! but we love him anyway

they are definately my favourite breed

  • This is the very show that got us hooked on V's. We just got our second one a few weeks ago and they are great buddies now. Got a bunch of videos of them if anybody would like to see our "kids."

  • Just as an FYI u better have a 12 foot fence with these dogs cos if the want to, they can jump. . . HIGH

  • whats their life span?

  • Best dog ever, I have a 1 year old son and I've never seen a dog more aware of small children than Hank (my dog).... I live in Charleston, SC and I've only seen 3 other Vizslas since I moved here, and I like it that way. When people see him they act like they've seen some rare animal from the Amazon. Awesome dog... just be prepared to walk, run, jump, swim, play, throw tennis balls, train, hunt, and on and on and on, because they need to roam.

  • Pronunciation lesson for y'all:

    Magyar: mahjyar (Hungarians)

Vizsla: veezhla, the zs part sounds like Zsa Zsa Gabor

  • @matwil74 great!

  • You think wrong, the Visla is in English, and Vizsla is in Hungarian.

  • @sejku You think wrong there is no such thing like english Visla.

Vizsla ... cos it's hungarian. Thats it.

  • whattsssupppp

    gottaa bonnneeee

  • best dogs ever, at least the funniest !

  • ayyyyy jumpa

  • they love losing their scent by rolling around in poo. had like 20 of them in the past 15 years. I'm a vizsla person

  • @Beebzafreak "like 20"???are you kidding?

  • @GrauesZimmer no, not really ;)

  • @Beebzafreak Very true (about the poo) and everybody is vizsla person in the heart. (they just dunno yet)

  • they are the best!!!! I have two, and I love them!!!

but hungarian were very very earlier than german vizsla

  • i have 2. They are great!

  • Én úgy tudom hogy a honfoglalókkal is volt már egy vizsla szerű sárga kutya.

A törökök is hoztak be vadászkutyát.

  • Think i'm gonna have to get a vizsla

  • Are they pronouncing them VEESHLAS or VEEZLAS? I can't tell.

  • @itootedLOL VEESHLA

  • I have two fo these dogs

  • Either my 2nd or 3rd choice of dog, making a decision.

  • @autumnandjen I had a German Shepherd and they are AMAZING dogs!!! You will get attached so fast and they are very protective of their owners. My German shepherd had a dog house and he would always walk around it all the time lol. They are funny and try to empress you. They love their family for sure! They treat their family like you are family. Haha I'm not trying to change your decision but I just wanted to share my experience with my dog that has passed. :( He was 9 years old.

  • Hungary before and after the I.WW. Chek it here: //kephost.hu/share-C4D9_4D2ED9BB.html

  • The Vizsla thrives on attention, exercise, and interaction. It is highly intelligent, and enjoys being challenged and stimulated, both mentally and physically.[8] Vizslas are very gentle dogs that are great around children. The Vizsla wants to be close to its owner as much of the time as possible. Many Vizslas will sleep in bed with their owners if allowed, burrowing under the covers.

  • @mulhollnd and they want you to lift up the cover for them...

  • Vizslas are very high energy, gentle-mannered, loyal, caring, and highly affectionate. They quickly form close bonds with their owners, including children. Often they are referred to as "velcro" dogs because of their loyalty and affection. They are quiet dogs, only barking if necessary or provoked. Sometimes when these dogs feel neglected or want something, they will cry.

  • The Vizsla was already known in early Hungarian history. The ancestors of the present Vizsla were the trusted and favorite hunting dogs of the Magyar tribes who lived in the Carpathian Basin in the 10th century. Primitive stone etchings over a thousand years old show the Magyar hunter with his falcon and his Vizsla.

  • The Vizsla (English pronunciation: /ˈviːʃlə/ VEESH-lə, Hungarian: [ˈviʒlɒ];) is a dog breed originating in Hungary. The Hungarian or Magyar Vizsla are elite sporting dogs and loyal companions.

The Vizsla is a natural hunter endowed with an excellent nose and an outstanding trainability. Although they are lively, gentle mannered, demonstrably affectionate and sensitive, they are also fearless and possessed of a well-developed protective instinct.

  • My Vizsla smells a lot worse than my Labrador but that's just because he is old and has death breath

  • vizsla is hungarian.

    not turkish. -.-'

    @GerryKG

  • breed a weimaranar and a german shorthair i bet you WONT get a vizsla

  • @3DG4LIFE99 no shit it takes like years and years and generations of getting the right ones, ever take a science class ?

  • @tbag16 fuck u no wonder ur name is tbag you like that dont ya

  • I had a Visla since I was a kid. She was the best dog I'v ever had!

  • This show got me my viszla!

  • not only that they are odor less...they even smell very good. At least mine do. They do have a licking problem haha. I could never have another dog than a vizsla.

  • Ok. I tried to give you guys the benefit of the doubt but at 3:16 the woman kissed the dog in the mouth.

Why do you people do that nasty mess?

  • @kittybookitty To each their own, Kitty. I let my puppy lick my face, no full on french kissing but even that grosses some people out. To each their own...

  • So.. pretty much... their like very good looking boxers? haha this describes both my boxers except the "Clean" and "odor-free" part haha. I still prefere my dogs. I don't think any dog can match the great personality that comes natural in boxers.

  • "Mag-yar"... Learn to pronounce it before you say it. Hülye kurva.

  • @ClassicRockFan1220 te hülye vagy bazmeg.

  • @SzFeri82 Kapd be a faszomat.

  • @ClassicRockFan1220 mondtam én...

  • k what is the correct way to say it??

  • are vizslas, weimaraner x german short haired pointer?

  • UNLEASH THE VIZSLA!

  • Vizsla not Visla. It is pronounced as the J in Jargon.

  • In my experience, a vizsla was extremely easy to train... She was house and crate trained after 2 weeks in our care and easily picked up on basic commands such as down, stay, come, etc. (not including sit, because show dogs aren't supposed to be taught to sit)

  • Vizsla "The smell good dog" - rubbish . My wife and I have just been laughing at this. We have a vizsla - she is fantasticly intelligent, loyal and energetic. We would not be without her - however and I can tell you for a fact that without a regular scrub she smells like an old tramp. Admittedly we don't have to wash her very often - but its a fallacy to suggest they smell lovely all the time !

  • @GerryKG The vizsla is a hungarian breed not turkish.

  • @ChampGts2000 Hungaria was Turkish when the dogs were developed, the Hungarian language is a Turkic(Ural-Altaic) language, and genetic research makes Hungarians largely Turkish.

For every intent and purpose, Hungary can be considered part of Turkey(or at least a Turkic nation).

  • @lesleyhenriquez : the closest race to ancient hungarians is ujgurs who live in china now however hungarians as a race very much mixed with others for last few thousand years. Just a few nationalities which contacted and mixed with us: kelts, jasz, kuns, italians, germans, jewish, slavs, avars etc.

  • @lesleyhenriquez

I am hungarian and I research about hungarian history... and what you saying here is stupid... and the language is magyar... not turkish not finnish but magyar!

  • @GerryKG Turkish??? what are u on about...Don't u think they would call them turkish vizslas if they were turkish? However they do have turkish ancestors but the breed is from Hungary. Concerning smelling of course they do have a natural odor but do not stink like other dogs.

  • @GerryKG büszke lehetsz magadra ha még ennyit sem tudsz :/

  • Visalas?

  • @CuntBubbly No, but all dogs have a smell and vizslas are no exception. It's fairly faint, but in my opinion they aren't odorless

  • I live with two vizslas, and I'd like to see these people live in the same house as them and still claim they're oderless.... I love my vizslas though! Well placed prop? If they say so... Mine runs himself around the backyard daily

  • @KisukeMayuri Are you saying they smell bad?

  • hey can you please upload Dogs 101: Pomeranian?

    please ;_;

  • I WANT IT.

  • They are Hungarian, I am proud.

  • I'm thinking of getting one, but I don't know about the training thing, how you need someone who knows what they're doing. Have you any of you guys trained your dogs by yourself? If so, was it easy?

  • @iTavukciyan I have a two year old vizsla, recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test. I'm not sure what the woman in the video meant, but it seemed like she implied they were difficult to train. Not at all. Vizslas are very smart and learn quickly. I went to a few obedience classes--1 hour a week for 7 weeks--and my dog picked it quickly. Like with any breed, if you put the time into them, the better the dog you'll have.

Positive reinforcement training method works best.

  • @lherbertson Thanks a lot, I'm a lot less nervous now.

  • @iTavukciyan , Petsmart has been invaluable to us. We started training at 8 weeks. Pays off immediately. We even did the potty training treat & bell method trianing and she got the hint after the third time out and trained herself in just a few days.

  • @iTavukciyan The Vizsla is one of the most trainable breed of dogs.

But You still need to know what You're doing.Like the previous comment says positive reinforcement works best.Reward them with treats and they'll

pick up anything in minutes.(including your morning paper:)))

  • Visla = BEST HUNT DOG

  • im getting a tad annoyed that they pronounce visla and weims names wrong

  • I think it should be "Vizsla"not "Visla"

  • @skoczdobiedronki1 it is vizsla

  • When will they do the Kuvasz? =(

  • Vislas = AWESOME

  • These dogs are so cute, and they're one of the many breeds that get mistaken for pit bulls. And I love pit bulls, too.

  • @gir908922 Mine have never been mistaken as a PitBull. Though, They're always getting called Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Labs, Weims, and one person called mine Dalmatians..... Odd IMHO

  • @MODSandSKINS69 Fair enough, but some folks don't know much about dog breeds, so they mistake it for anything but its actual breed.

  • so darn awsome!

  • There's a Vizsla in my neighborhood, and he's vicious. I tried to pet him, and he went to bite me.

  • @LlamaPhoenix sounds like a bad owner.

  • @LlamaPhoenix man the fuck up llamafag. waaa

  • @robbief21 I'm sorry, did I ask for a response from some dipshit that I've never even met?

  • @LlamaPhoenix I'm almost certain it is not a vizsla,in my 40+ years

experience I've not met one vicious vizsla.Agression is bred out of them

they can't even defend themselves.Pure hunting and companion dogs.

  • I've got one too xD

  • I have one :D
