ok...so im ev training my larvitar and it has macho brase thing...... and i killed like 150 mankeys to increase its Atk stat i also gave it 10 proteins before i started..... it only lved up like twice wile training...... does this mean i still have to ev train it since it only lv up twice or im i done ev trainng it.

@jessyjakepickering Your stats max out at level 100, keep in mind this video was made around the time of 4th gen, so the Pokemon games after Heart Gold and Soul Silver don't apply. As for moves, that all depends on what nature and type of Pokemon you are trying to raise. If you want a Defensive type Pokemon for example, don't give it all strong attack moves for example. My other videos explain the movesets and natures, check them out for more information.

@jimli10 Yeah, it's great for Pokemon that you want to train that are lvl 1. They still get the EVs because they get the EXP.

No, that only takes care of 100 out of 255 EVs, so you still have to train.

@zzxp1 Once you reach level 100 that's it, no way to correct them. If you catch Pokemon at level 30 your good, but if you trained them then you should rebreed and start from scratch. As for knowing what Pokemon give more EVs, I put a guide in the video description so click on the link and you have yourself the Diamond/Pearl Guide for EV Training.

@zzxp1 Yeah it is, the sooner you get the EVs, the better.Then you can just Rare Candy them the rest of the way. And don't worry if they aren't lvl 100 by then, online all Pokemon are set to level 100 automatically no matter what.

actually rare candies help, before u ev tran too. cause if ur starting from scratch with ur babies... at lv 1 they really cant fight to well, so you can rare candy em up to a fighting level.. in wich they can fight for there ev's. i got my cansey to 25 and then started whoopin on kids. tell me if im wrong.

That may be true, but I wouldn't recommend it personally, because you won't gain EVs from the start.The point is to finish EV training as soon as possible so then you can level it up. Not saying you're wrong but I wouldn't do that.

ah i see my method might only work, when ur in a situation like me. where ur only ev traning for online competiton, and ur pokemon are boosted to 100 during battle giving them all their ev's

You probably counted right but all the EVs don't come in until lvl 100.

When you beat the Pokemon League I recommend rebreeding them because you will always want the right nature and stats for each Pokemon.

yeah why not.The vitamins only give you 100 EVs and you need to get to 252, so keep it up.

Check the Pokemon's Characteristics(Very Finicky,Loves to Eat,shit like that) for a clue on what to raise.If you get confused just watch Lesson 2, I put a link to a website with Natures and Characteristics.

You'll start to see the effects as you gain more levels.The highest I've gotten ever was +8 actually.Don't worry about asking me too many questions, I will help any fellow Pokemon Trainer willing to learn about EV Training.

alright, whatever lvl 1 Pokemon you're trying to EV Train, just give it the EXP Share and then use another Pokemon to fight high level Pokemon with the EVs you want, the Pokemon will still get the EVs(EVs aren't split up like EXP, so if you fight a Graveler both Pokemon get 2 Defense EVs).Unfortunately I know no other method at the moment, but I hope I've helped in some way.

if i use the EXP Share on the pokemon it cant hold the item that dobles the EV,so if i use vitamins on a stat that is 100 EV to the pokemon right,so if the pokemon has pkrs or doesnt have it how many fight do i have to do to get the rest of the EVs

Yeah you'll have to get the rest of the EVs.Let's say you have 100 Defense EVs, that means you would have to fight 152 Geodudes to finish or whatever Defense Pokemon you fight, depending on the number of EVs the Pokemon defeated gives you.If the Pokemon has Pokerus the EVs double so it will take less time.

it depends, just know that every 4 EVs is one extra stat.You won't notice a big changed though until they are higher levels(I'd say like the late teens and 20s).The EVs themselves though are not shown on the game so use the Counter App to keep track.

You can train two stats only,3 if you train until 252 EVs instead of 255 but that's only 6 EVs on that third stat(which is 1 extra stat point)

just make sure the Pokemon with Pokerus aren't cured of it and then put the Pokemon you want to train with in the same party.Pokerus is contagious so it will spread through the whole party I believe

Naw, it's just the stat you want to EV Train.Remember that you can only get like 510 EVs, which means you can EV train 2 stats, 3 if you stop when you reach 252 for two stats then give 6 to another stat.

I don't think there's a best nature, it just depends on how you handle each nature.

Yeah, for Pokemon that you want to have powerful Special Attaks(ex: Flamethrower).But remember, a sword is only as good as its wielder.
