  • WHERE IS 4TH SECTION VIDEOS PLEASE UPLOAD

  • why does her mabu, kungbu, not good??

  • i need help is there any website can teach i stuck at 3rd set of san duan

  • i give this girl props but stances are bad, i've seen better, but overall its still good that she remembers the whole form

  • thank you so much! had to refresh some moves and this vid totally helped me !

  • y is this video has only 4 stars? this should have 5

  • Perkiest kata I've ever seen haha, nah she does demonstrate it well, I'd like to see it full speed.

  • Es muy buena esta maestra de wushu aunque podria realizarse con mas fuerza

  • i agree with afr2008, my stances are way lower than hers

  • i am learning this form, mine has slight variations

  • I love watching a girl do martial arts?

  • I love how she does it. Most wushu practitioners seem too sloppy to me. They look like they're rushing it.

  • Her performance is VERY clear, I would like to have her as a teacher.

  • wow, I wish I could do it like he does

  • thats a girl

  • I know, sorry, my S is not working well

  • you mean she

  • I know, sorry, my S is not working well

  • I ;earned this form in Xian China in 1991 wow what memories

  • this is a great performance, better technique than what you'll see wushu athletes doing nowadays, though her stances are a little high.

and OF COURSE it's dance, who cares? she still probably had great power when she was younger.

  • gut super

  • Good Dancer

  • Wushu is martial art, Gong Fu means SKill so a basketball player can have good gong fu a cook can. Westerners think gong fu or "kung fu" as tehy call it is just fighting.

  • indeed, that is very true !

GongFu or Kung-fu means working with Skill yeah so a cook can have good kung-fu, Wushu meaning martial art or not to fight, allways in ChangChuan and NanQuan

  • I know this Tao Lu :)

  • Is she doing it this slow on purpose? Usually, When asked to perform the form, we are told to do it at a much faster pace. Also, people are forgetting that traditional forms have application, like traiditional long fist 1 and 2. Sometimes, at my classes, that's all we practice. So yes, although this is a slightly ,ore wushu like form than 1 and 2 it still has application.

  • Yes, she's doing it slow in order to we can see every movement and learn'em

  • this is contemporary meaning modern. Like fixed dancing movements. Wushu actually means sort of artistic skill rather than what alot of westerners think is for fighting. Traditional forms are not pretty but meant for fighting. I prefer ballet though

  • Wushu? Wushu means MARTIAL ART. As the litteral translation. Kung Fu does not as westerners would precieve. Wushu has become competative demonstrations. Traditional Kung Fu on the other hand...ouch...

  • Yes. "WuShu" means "martial arts", but it`s also a name for the national SPORT from Popular Republic of China. The traditional CMA have religious concepts (Budhism, etc) and were prohibited in the chinnese comunism. By this reason the Wushu (or "Contemporary KungFu") was created =P

But Modern Wushu (Dancing) IS NOT!! Traditional KungFu(Fighting)

  • Yep. Wushu is still fun to watch... :D

  • I think wushu actually translates as "to stop conflict" and yes this is a standardised competition routine.

  • No the goal of wu shu is to avoid conflict but in chinese Wu meaning Military and Shu meaning art they combine into it.

  • Wu means "cease/stop". Shu means "conflict/war".

Thats what the characters mean. When combined the western translation is commonly "martial art" because its a term we are more accustomed to.

  • no no no. 武 wu means military or martial -- thus 武器 wuqi means weapon, 武官 wuguan means military officer, 武士 wushi means warrior/knight. 术 means skill or art -- thus 艺术 yishu means art, 技术 jishu means skill, 拳术 quanshu means (Chinese) boxing.

武术 LITERALLY means "martial arts"! stop spreading misinformation.

  • Wu means anything militaryly related like fighting/war/weapons ect...shu means art or skill.

Wu as a character can also mean "to stop conflict" such as to defeat ur enemy to end the conflict.

so wu shu means "martial arts" an also the art of stoping conflicts. YOUR difinition of Shu was wrong, it does not mean war or conflict lol it means art/skill or techniques. trust us were chinese =]

  • Ah ok, i've just seen it in a documentary or film not sure which, where the two characters had the joint meaning of 'to stop conflict' maybe as an abbreviation of the 'art of stopping conflict'. It was more from a personal perspective, as i prefer the sentiment of that.

  • it's funnier to practice! =]

  • very skilled, to be someone at her age and still be doing wushu is amazing.

  • Wushu is so bizarre. The movements themselves would be considered slightly incorrect if they were for fighting (a lack of coiling power and defensive structure and so on) but are very beautiful to watch. It's a shame wushu and sanshou have become separated, but I suppose there's really nothing anyone can do. Anyway, this is a good performance.

  • thanks so much for posting this! i have to learn it in a week for a competition, haha! i like the pace she goes at, and the camera angles, very easy to follow. thanks!!

  • How did ya get on?

  • I love the music :D haha

  • omg... i just started learning this. my teacher is like freakin demanding on form haha

this is harder than you think lol

  • It's not exactly the one I know, but still good.

  • nice to look at
