The EuroFighter can supercruise :) As I said, the only advantage that the F-22 has is that it is stealthy. I think that the RAF should get 50 F-22's though.
@Direwolf56 the russian jets are excellent. They have been for 30 years. Where the russian jets EXCEL is in missile evasion AFTER the missile has been fired. This is totally OVERLOOKED by mainstream and so called in the know media. The F-22 has not seen combat to date for ONE REASON. It has hiccups up the ass. Figure out why the F-117 if so succesful is out of service? Why did they pull the b-2 out of active service after it was in service? Best bomber and fighter jet in the world?.
@siremitreppots F-22 hasn't seen combat because they're hasnt been any combat, not since the conflict with Libya at least. You know why they pulled the F-117 out of service? Because the F-22 does the job better. Most of the flukes that have been associated with the F-22 , such as rain damaging, were complete myths and have been disproven, and it's not a "craptor" by any means. I don't anything about the B-2 however.

@abdulrauf627 non existent? F-35 and J-20 haven't gone beyond prototype stage, F-35 is far more advanced in that stage you could also ask where's T-50 but it's the same answer. This is a decent list :)
Su-30MKI is Faster, Has more Range, Has a higher Weapon capacity, Has a Better Radar , Has Radar Jammin technology and Thrust Vectoring which makes it Super Maneuverable..

There is a little man (and his mates) in Wales who trains all the worlds best pilots in the finer arts of being the best (flat spin recovery etc). The RAF can certainly lay a claim to the best trained and best combat ready pilots. Factor that in when comparing any pilots. Also I reckon the Russians have a few decent pilots and the Chineese. No two horse race here.
@Bobble42 Agreed. Its the case in any country. Every country has its good pilots and mediocre pilots. You cant just single out one and say "this is the best". Finally it all boils down to experience and tactics in today's world.
No.3 SU is from Russian not India, i think it must showed where the jet came from not who the jet belong for because Russia also sell it to anothers country not only India.
And i dissagree if F-22 become No.1, sorry i think because O2 problem on it, yes it maybe fast maybe range far, and maybe dance beauty at sky but US still not fixing O2 problem on F-22.
@rohitb3 and @DeMoNMiNdLS: Both the IAF and the USAF did not use their radars or experienced pilots when they toured. In the US, the USAF used their most experienced pilots and a full NATO data link along with the French, while India used Training mode radar. The converse happened when the US toured India.Therefore it wasnt a real account of who is better. Though rohitb3,we have to give it to the USAF,when it comes to experience.Their pilots have more combat experience than we do.Which matters.
agreed they have more exp., but most RAF,USAF and French pilots who have flown with the IAF say that our Pilots are too good.....and to be honest i have seen a few videos of the Usa marines/pilots which show that their level of training is not all that high..
And IAF pilots have said they they Oudid the American pilots,so unless they are liars....................?
@rohitb3 Today pilots dont have a lot to do in an aircraft. The aircraft almost flies by itself. Its just the experience that counts. Yes IAF pilots are really good. They have good training. But it is possible that the USAF has better training than the IAF, simply because their instructors have more combat experience. If you think about it, training cant be THAT different after all. Its just the amount of experience the instructor brings in, which is probably more when it comes to the USAF.
Usa has been involved in more wars....but they still take Training from us...especially for Guerilla warfare, Small Team Combat Operations, Mission plannin,etc.....in short...Modern wArfare Tactics..

@rohitb3 The US fights a different kind of war than India does. When it comes to High Altitude mountain warfare, India is the best. Every country models their training after India's systems and yes the US trains in India before getting deployed to Afghanisthan. But they are experts in urban warfare. Our soldiers train there too. So you see, everything depends on experience. As for that video, that was just a goof up. Not that they are not well trained. That video has been taken out of context.

@DeMoNMiNdLS I didnt read all of his comments, but I think he meant training for troops (special forces, for ground operations) etc., That does happen for jungle, mountain warfare in India. In return the US trains Indian soldiers - cross training, urban warfare etc. Cuz in India an infantry man is just an infantry man and cant play any other role. But we have the numbers. Though, I have to say both AFs are pretty good. Both will never meet in combat so no use fighting over that lol.

In terms of planes, you will have to compare the F-22 with the Indian version of the PakFa.. thats a better comparison.. U cant compare them now, cus the F-22 is getting upgraded and the PakFa does not exist yet..
And about what the USAF pilot said, its typical.. USAF pilots always through in some compliments after the "games" end.. My brother is one of them :). They do this to make u feel better.
@DeMoNMiNdLS No they do that. But in this case, the guy's sole purpose was to push for the F22s. So he kind of talked India down, while saying the USAF does not have good weapons. You know the kind of sales pitch. The F22, I wouldnt consider it a great plane. I mean its the first ever 5th Gen plane, too damn costly, never seen combat because they have been plagued with software failures etc., I think the plane to take note of will be the F35. That is most likely to combat PAK FA if at all.

And yeah, it was expensive, but that increases quality in the end. The F-22 is getting upgraded 3 times, if you never knew. from now till about 2020, the F-22 is getting upgraded heavily. Bye 2020 the F-22 will be a cold blooded killer. the Third and final upgrade is the BEST in US history. I cant wait!

@DeMoNMiNdLS BTW When it comes to the planes, I am not sure which is better. An USAF pilot after Red Flag 08, said "When the Indians learn to fly, they will be better than us" while pushing for the much more advanced F22s. He was comparing the F15 with the Su 30MKI. Also, the F18 was rejected in the recent fighter deal, cuz its engines wouldnt start up in the rarefied atmosphere in the Himalayas.
@DeMoNMiNdLS So if a combat does break out, it would have to be the US attacking Indian airspace, cuz the reverse is not possible at all. In that case, I would say the battle will be quite even. The USAF with more skill, more advanced tech but unsuitable planes in some cases and the IAF with better/rugged planes, and with an advantage when it comes to knowledge about terrain, climate etc but comparatively less pilot skill. Thats just my opinion though ;)
Anyways, why would USA even invade/attack India? The only reason we would be flying over ur Airspace is either to attack China or Pakistan :P.

@DeMoNMiNdLS Yup the Super Hornets. Its impossible for both countries to attack each other. India does not have the capability to get within firing distance of the US. Even if we did, logistics will be impossible. Which is the most important part of warfare. Supplies, food, fuel, ammunition, radar bases, communication bases, medical care you name it. Even invading India for the US will be a impossibility. A 7000 km coastline, the north with 50C deserts and the -70C mountains. Nightmare!!

@DNope you again got your facts wrong :) The Iran Iraq war started because the US, asked Saddam to invade Iran out of nowhere, for no reason. Iraq was backed by the US and armed by the US. Israel supplied arms and ammunition to Iran and supported them. The F4s and F14s that Iran used was bought during the time of the Shah., BEFORE 1979. Infact the Us was supposed to sell Iran F16s, but after 1979, they cancelled the contract and gave the F16s instead to Israel. Which was used in Operation Opera.

Because the F-22 does the job better. Most of the flukes that have been associated with the F-22 , such as rain damaging, were complete myths and have been disproven, and it's not a "craptor" by any means. I don't anything about the B-2 however.

There is a little man (and his mates) in Wales who trains all the worlds best pilots in the finer arts of being the best (flat spin recovery etc). The RAF can certainly lay a claim to the best trained and best combat ready pilots. Factor that in when comparing any pilots. Also I reckon the Russians have a few decent pilots and the Chineese. No two horse race here.

In the US, the USAF used their most experienced pilots and a full NATO data link along with the French, while India used Training mode radar. The converse happened when the US toured India.Therefore it wasnt a real account of who is better. Though rohitb3,we have to give it to the USAF,when it comes to experience.Their pilots have more combat experience than we do.Which matters.

@rohitb3 Today pilots dont have a lot to do in an aircraft. The aircraft almost flies by itself. Its just the experience that counts. Yes IAF pilots are really good. They have good training. But it is possible that the USAF has better training than the IAF, simply because their instructors have more combat experience. If you think about it, training cant be THAT different after all. Its just the amount of experience the instructor brings in, which is probably more when it comes to the USAF.

Every country models their training after India's systems and yes the US trains in India before getting deployed to Afghanisthan. But they are experts in urban warfare. Our soldiers train there too. So you see, everything depends on experience. As for that video, that was just a goof up. Not that they are not well trained. That video has been taken out of context.

In return the US trains Indian soldiers - cross training, urban warfare etc. Cuz in India an infantry man is just an infantry man and cant play any other role. But we have the numbers. Though, I have to say both AFs are pretty good. Both will never meet in combat so no use fighting over that lol.

You know the kind of sales pitch. The F22, I wouldnt consider it a great plane. I mean its the first ever 5th Gen plane, too damn costly, never seen combat because they have been plagued with software failures etc., I think the plane to take note of will be the F35. That is most likely to combat PAK FA if at all.

@vijayallenraj thats why the F-22 never seen combat, its cus its not ready yet.. By the time the Pakfa is ready, the F-22 will be ready. thats how they calculated it to be! Plus, i mean why would we use the F-22 on Afghanistan? would u do it if u were Obama? Is afghanistan worth it? Thats mainly why the F-22 never seen combat. Its a great plane, trust me! But as i said, it is currently under going huge upgrades that will completely change the F-22, and make her much more powerful... and no abt Russian aircrafts.. dude, they never dare to come close to USA.. they will never dare enter US airspace or even come miles away from it..

An USAF pilot after Red Flag 08, said "When the Indians learn to fly, they will be better than us" while pushing for the much more advanced F22s. He was comparing the F15 with the Su 30MKI. Also, the F18 was rejected in the recent fighter deal, cuz its engines wouldnt start up in the rarefied atmosphere in the Himalayas.

@DeMoNMiNdLS So if a combat does break out, it would have to be the US attacking Indian airspace, cuz the reverse is not possible at all. In that case, I would say the battle will be quite even. The USAF with more skill, more advanced tech but unsuitable planes in some cases and the IAF with better/rugged planes, and with an advantage when it comes to knowledge about terrain, climate etc but comparatively less pilot skill. Thats just my opinion though ;)

Even if we did, logistics will be impossible. Which is the most important part of warfare. Supplies, food, fuel, ammunition, radar bases, communication bases, medical care you name it. Even invading India for the US will be a impossibility. A 7000 km coastline, the north with 50C deserts and the -70C mountains. Nightmare!!

Pakistan on the other hand, decided to use terrorism as an extension of its foreign policy against India after 1971. In 1953,taking US interests into consideration,the US overthrew the govt and bought the Shah in to rule. The Shah's rule was extremely repressive but pro US. It made him very rich.In 1979,Khomeini and others overthrew the Shah and put into place the present govt. This didnt go too well with the US, so the US asked Saddam, who was their man, to attack Iran.

@DNope you again got your facts wrong :) The Iran Iraq war started because the US, asked Saddam to invade Iran out of nowhere, for no reason. Iraq was backed by the US and armed by the US. Israel supplied arms and ammunition to Iran and supported them. The F4s and F14s that Iran used was bought during the time of the Shah., BEFORE 1979. Infact the Us was supposed to sell Iran F16s, but after 1979, they cancelled the contract and gave the F16s instead to Israel. Which was used in Operation Opera.
