  • I made this hat for my son without the ear flaps and it turned out fantastic!

  • Where are the written instruction for this cap??

  • AAAHHH, i crochet backwards...well, inside-out..reverse, whatever!

the thing is i do the same thing, but it looks weird!!!!!!

  • @BlueGreenGrayOcean Not sure what you mean by you crochet inside out.

  • how do you know were to put the other earflap .......is it skip 2 front post an skip 2 half double for both sides

  • Thanks! I'm making one now. I really like the cable stitch! If I switch to a larger hook (where you specify) does it matter how large I go?

  • My hat looks like it should be a mat... I won't flare in like it should... Help?

  • My hat keeps getting bigger and bigger. I must be adding extra stitches in.

  • HI

I have statred my hat, but the problem is that It seems to me that my hat does not get larger any more, I'm in round 17, and i work with 3 mm hook??? could you pls help!!thanks

  • I was wondering if you have written instructions for this hat. I would love to try and make this.

  • this is the second hat i've done with you and they both came out great. your a great teacher!!! Thanks!!!

  • what do you do in 4-6? the same thing as 2 and 3??

  • @annabug014 The original pattern is from the hat with the stem. If you want to make a pumpkin hat with a stem, you will visit the same tutorial on my main channel to work it with the stem. Otherwise you ignore rounds 4-6, skipping on to round 7. This will make a flat top.

  • @crochet kay thanks! :)

  • Thank you for providing this but, you are moving too fast....and your fingers are in the way. I wish you had showed a little more in the beginning. I am a new crocheter. I can't see where the needle goes.

  • @wonthefight I pause often and replay the parts that I need to see again.

  • @wonthefight Listen to what she is saying. I might help! Hope you are enjoying crocheting!

  • I'm assuming the front-post double crochet are intended to give the hat a certain texture. Could this be made simply with double crochet worked into the stitches rather than around the posts?

  • @Creahgour I think the front post double crochet are meant to give the hat cables, so if you don't want cables in your hat you could probably skip that step and the half-double crochet and just double crochet all the way around. I didn't make this video though, so I don't know.

  • i followed all the steps but my hat wont turn in!

  • why no 4-7

  • @barbergurl The video is revised from the pumpkin tutorial, which had the stem. Some found it confusing so I revised the pattern and left out rounds 4-6

  • Very nice and very warm hat. I would like to do it. How much yarn do I need?

    Thanks and greetings from Mexico

  • amazing....i dont know how to crochet (yet) but im def. a believer...new subby here....

  • I will definitely be returning to make this hat!

  • Where do you get those grippers?

  • @Keildra you can get them anywhere they sell school/office supplies like Walmart and Office Max, they are pencil grippers. :)

  • This is lovely Teresa.... I was wishing for a cap like this. Do you think you could do another where the cables twist eithher vertically down or horizontally?
