probably i should not say things that everyone knows already, but this rendition does not come anywhere close to Kremer/van Keulen/Zimmermann/Geringas/Posch/Brunner/ Thunemann/Vlatkovic recording. on one hand i have doubts about Jansen's sound, which quite often is like drilling into my tooth, and on the other hand i'm often surprised by the character they give to Schubert music...
Maybe one of the best performances of the Octet I have heard so far.
