How the hell did I not know about this when I was on the yard. I would just usually come back in the wee hours of the morning on a Sun. when nobody was at the gate. They want every to have a decal so they can write you a ticket. If you don't have a decal; they can write all the tickets you want and you don't have to pay SHIT. At least that's they way it was when I went to school there. Ahh, the good ole days. ASU Alumni 99!!!
damn when i went to the yard campus police would never be at the front of back gates. but all that changed after that shooting incident. then you had just cuss them out or step on the gas. either way they moved.
THIS IS DANGEROUS AND STUPID> it has now been broadcast on the WORLD WIDE WEB as a way to get around or circumvent the system of checks and balances that protect our students. Security on campus is not just there to harass the students, contrary to popular belief. Now I am going to hope and pray that someone do not watch this...and decide to sneak and rape one of our students...or worse yet murder someone on campus.and get away
I do understand your concerns. But here is the deal - anybody can get on campus right through the gate any time by just telling lies about their reason to come in, or just by walking through the hole in a fence behind the Patton's store, or climbing above the fence there, and then commit ANY kind of crime. So, unless there is a 20 feet wall with deadly electric current and guards with M-16's, there always will be a way to get inside...
hurt my feeling you have not....you still don't understand. What you have done is dangerous. Granted there are in fact ways to circumvent security on the yard...I did it back in the day as did others. But the "tools of the trade" in doing this were known to locals only.
my statement above still rings true: it has now been broadcast on the WORLD WIDE WEB
We (alcornites and extended family) know what's up, but you don't air family business in the open. And that is what you have done.
I think "family" is a too loose term to be used in a reference to an Alcorn community. Let me remind you that various crimes have been commited on the main campus long time before this video appeared, including homicide and drug trading, and will continue to happen and presense or absence of this video will not encourage, nor discourage the intentions to do bad, bad things...
And have you ever heard that somebody, who doesn't know anything about the School, would intentionaly search for it to do whatever dirty he or she wanted to do? No! Most of the crimes were done by either students or local folks living in nearby areas, and they were the people who you referenced as "extended family".
You have proven my point once again. Anyone with any type of common sense would agree that certain things take place on Alcorn's campus. In that respect, Alcorn is no different from any other college campus. My point to you is let's honor and promote what is good....Not exploit the bad for all to see.
the same energy and time that you (or whomeever) use to create this video could have been channeled into a video highlighting some other aspect of campus life. Don't you dare punish or judge the surrounding communities of Alcorn by the acts of a foolish few. These communities have support Alcorn for years....long before you and I were even born!
Some gave there last dollar to our cause in spite of not even having a family member attend the school.
Don't get me wrong. I am not trying to judge anybody, especially people of local communities, it is not my place to do so, and please don't accuse me in such actions. It is definetely not the idea which is portrayed in the video. My point is that, i believe, there is no way this video could be misused with bad intentions. And this is my point of view. And definetely do respect yours! Mostly because many people may agree with you, but not all.
Others will have a different opinion, and for those this video is intended and will not be removed! You expressed a good idea to show smth good about Alcorn. Why not do so? All things have their bright side and bad side. Without seeing bad things people will never be able to appreciate good ones.
damn i thought northwest was bad about giving out tickets for dumb ish..# hopefully i would be attending alcorn in the fall :-)

so instead of spending money on the decal... let's spend the money on the extra gas to drive all the way around through the back woods each day.

LMAO... I wish I had've known the route when I was on the yard

In short, what i mean is that the "security" on campus is a joke. I am sorry if that hurts somebody's feelings, but it is the cruel reality...

You want to continue to exploit and sensationalize the bad go work for foxnews or cnn....leave my Alcorn alone.
Have some respect for the history, heritage, and legacy of our great institution, Alcorn State University.
