It's hard to refute the "catchiness" of Brand New's first two albums, but their 3rd is lightyears beyond both albums, and every album from every other band that has ever sounded like brand new.
When i saw them @ Dickinson College, they pretty much played all of the new one, and only a few off the first two. It was amazing.. acoustic set was brothers, oh comely, and play crack the sky. i died.
Morrissey ftw. I love Brand New, and they took a lot of influence from two of my favorite bands: The Smiths and Neutral Milk Hotel. And yes, Oh Comely is awesome.

One of the new tracks is an acoustic guitar and someone fumbling with a microphone for two minutes... hardly "thrilling". That's why no one bought it. Man what an amazing performance. Love this song. Heh when I went to see Brand New the last time in the UK Vinnie moved like that girl from The Ring!! Amazing how he throws his guitar though. They all seem like really decent blokes and obviously put so much effort into their gigs, definately my favourite band!

You need to start accepting opinions. Their new stuff actually sounds like music instead of alternating bad yelling between singers.
And if you're going to make a point, stick to it. You say "Who cares if it's better", and then "How is it better? There's barely any musical element to it."
