Where is the video? I never saw them beating the kid at all. The video that I saw, from the news report, only shows the cops restraining the kid while the kid was bleeding.

What was this young man being arrested for? I don't know. Do you? The only charge that I have read about in this case is resisting arrest, but what was he being arrested for? Resisting arrest cannot be the REASON for the arrest that one is resisting.

What is the whole back story of the video though? It looked more like the kid had been in a fist fight or something more along those lines and the cops were restraining him from running. All it says was that he was getting in trouble for loitering but I highly doubt it. If those Police officers did actually inflict those wounds on that boy then they need to be fired.

the police asked him to stop loitering and move (when he actually lived in this complex) and the boy didnt get up to move... the police felt disrespected so they got out the vehicle and went to move him physicaly and the boy began to resist....now yes the young man was wrong for resisting the officers by all means but instead of these two grown men beating this boy like he was a grown man in a bar brawl they should have either tased him or pepper sprayed him to get the boys full attention......

the kid probably got what was comin to him. the reality is although the description says he was unarmed and innocent doesnt mean thats the way it is. that kid coulda been walkin around makin threats, he could've had a gun or a knife or he may have even threatened those cops. you people are acting all offended and outraged but really youre only seeing half the story. to provoke that kind of response from an officer usually means you were doin somethin to deserve it.

you sound pretty harsh but you may very well be correct. as a teacher, i've experienced plenty of instances of young people trying to be defiant for defiance's sake. in truth, a 250lb man could clock that 14yr old kid in the jaw & scar him for life. perhaps it's the lesser of 2 evils. but moreover, unless the cops are making an unreasonable request, just do what they say & stay out of their way. i know i'd rather not engage them at all

For the record the kid was searched on the vid....did you see a gun or drugs...dont you think if they found them that they would have shown them on vid to the world!! I am not sure what you think should have happened at the scene. More over it does not matter if the pigs were black or white. The law was broken; the kids civlil rights were violated. It does not matter if the kid cursed at them or ran; their job was to contain him not to beat him until he was lifeless. Not only should the authorities be involved the government should also be involved. The violence is coming from police department across the nation and something has to be done about it.

cops are worse than some criminals. they violated this young kid. if your a man you don't have to do that to a kid. also they never said what his charge was. you have to do something illegal before you get arrested. if his charge is resisting arrest what did he do? they should have immediately known his charge. what ever he did they didn't have to ruff him up and as you can see they could have easily cuffed him. if they couldn't they are badly trained. i hope they get fired and sued.

What is the whole back story of the video though? It looked more like the kid had been in a fist fight or something more along those lines and the cops were restraining him from running. All it says was that he was getting in trouble for loitering but I highly doubt it. If those Police officers did actually inflict those wounds on that boy then they need to be fired.

None of us saw what caused that treatment. .It's very rare that cops will physically attack w/o a reason.If he would've peaceably walked away, he wouldn't have ended up in that situation. It is sad that he was beaten that severely, but an example has to be made out of one to show all that you can't walk around with an "eff the po po" mentality, b/c in the end, you will be the one who truly gets "effed" so to speak. You ain't gotta fear man, fear and obey Jesus Christ who put them in authority.

Cops abuse their power and authority all of the time, it happens daily! I can recall multiple police abuse instances that have been stricken from you tube just because cops don't want a bad name. Look at Mumia, or The Doughnut incident, those are just a small number of examples of police brutality.
Let's face it. Cops are human, and human's go mad with power, so you give someone a little extra authority and demanded respect, and BOOM.

the caption of the video is "Innocent 14 year old beat and..." innocent, we all know what this word means. So with that, I gather that this young boy was just standing there (innocently) and 2 officers just run up on him, beat him, choked him WITH PEOPLE AROUND AND A VIDEO CAMERA, because? oh yeah, they had no reason to, they just run up on 14 year olds and beat them for no reason. He was innocent. I believe that, And now hes got a good story to tell at church and to his chess club at school
