  • Rather poetic, isn't it?

  • Where is 'Tanks in Berlin'? even my copy of the motion comic has that in it?

  • R.I.P. Best Hero

  • hell of a lot better a voice then the movie, Rorschach is Monotonous, not growly.

  • @antihero276 I prefer the growly voice from the movie, it fits his his looks and personality.

  • It's interesting that of all the Watchmen characters people seem the most particular about what Rorschach should sound like.

This guy is close, but when I read Watchmen I heard it the way Alan Moore read it. Jackie's voice was too Batman-like for me, not as bad though I'll give him that.

Shouldn't Veidt and Dreidberg be pronounced with longer 'e's?

  • if you read the whole book and seen roarshach die for trying to tell the world about what adrian was doing and that he was responsible for the deaths, so manhaten killed him so he wouldnt tell, but he wrote what adrian did in his journal and gets it published into the newspaper for the world to know so he didint die for nothing he pretty much won.

  • actually... the comic and the animated comic end in the way the entire book is: ambiguity. The intern moves his hand over the journal (and other letters) in the "crank file". If it gets published, or if it doesn't... that is left to our own moral subconscious to decide.

  • They omitted (censored?) the tanks in Berlin.

  • this narrator should've voiced The Question in the Justice League cartoon.

  • what I love about this motion comic is the music, like the mistery atmosphere it creates.

  • now in this motion comic rorschach doesn't sound really badass like alan moore or the movie doing his voice.

  • he sounds like fucking ben kenobi in this

  • Um... it isn't supposed to be flawless. That's the point. It's supposed to be the kind of voice that makes you want to crawl up and die. That's why they made his speech bubbles look especially ragged in the comic after he went insane. I agree Batman wasn't supposed to sound quite like that (Deep yes, rough... no) but Rorschach's actor in the movie did an amazing job. He captured the character's nature perfectly. Unlike this motion comic voice actor.

  • Yeah, Rorschach's left-handed!

  • voice is to smooth

needs to be like the one in the movie

  • this is nothing. listen to the voice of laurie in the motion comic ...

  • yeah lauries voice in the motion comic sounded hilarious! its is very clearly a man its like theres no attempt at doing a womans voice lol

  • Ugh...Movie Rorschachs voice was great, and I think it fit him great..

  • Great fit for Rorschach, bad fit for Batman.

  • Yeah, and I really liked when Alan Moore read a few of his dialogues too... this guy reading for the motion comic just doesn't fit the part.

  • I think he does, though bear in mind, he's just reading the comic. He's not trying to sound cool or anything. He's merely doing his own voice in the tone of Rorschach's.

  • i like it actually ...

  • well ya it was adrians master plan brought to life.

  • hey sonic im not going to give you any bs but i do think that the ending in the book was more believable, i mean if everybody thought that an indestructible blue person was going to kill everyone it would be like the bucket list everywhere there would be no peace.

  • but a giant alien squid is more plausable???

i mean the movie story's ending had to do with the story more. But the books ending just kinda came from no where.

And you could say the same thing about an alien invasion.

  • The movie's ending does seem to make more sense, IMHO.

  • By this on DVD instead of watching that shitty Snyder piece. Far superior imo.

  • yes, that movie is a discrase to Alan morre

  • the movie was still amazing and as true to the graphic novel as it could be.

  • The movie sucked.

  • you havent ever read the comic have u

  • More times than I can count.

  • then you can say the movie was good, i mean people have diff opinions thats ok,but the movie was great!!!. The only thing i didnt like was some of the actors lines felt pushed. But as far as the ending goes i iked it better than the graphic novel which ill probly get alot of bs from, but comeon. Now a days a giant alien squid thing is lame.

  • I found the movie to be subpar. As a translation of the original it does pretty good. That didn't translate to a good movie watching experience. Even more so the second time I watched. The action comic is basically an animated audio book. Couldn't get better than that.

  • yes but i believe the voices aare closer to the original intent of the creator and mst all of the movies dialouge is directly word for word from the book. but i see what your sying i gues in a way they are very similar.

  • Movie > Animated comic.

  • You know whats creep? November 1st 1985...is my birthday. *shivers*

  • whoop whoop

    go Rorschach!!

  • lived life free from compromise and step into the shadow without complaint friggin great

  • Well, at least he feels that he did what he had to do was the right path, and he seemed to feel that he would die without compromising his beliefs.

I dunno about his religion stance. Although Kovacs said about the little girl's murder ("God was not there,"), he explained to the psychiatrist that "It is not God who kills the children." To say he was an atheist is not correct, he probably believed in predestination and only certain people were marked for Heaven.

  • probley more like a agnostic..that he knows gods around..but god isn't what does thing to man...that man does it and god well doesn't mind so much what we do......

  • Yeah, the psychiatrist examining Rorschach, Dr Malcolm Long, said that Kovacs was very skilled in religious education while in juvie.

He believed in God, but he stated that God does not intervene or make things the way they are. "It's us and only us."

The Comedian was probably an atheist for most of his life, but remember his drunken rant/confession to Moloch? He embraced a statuette of the Virgin Mary and cried "Mother...forgive me." He seemed to show a belief after his ephiphany.

  • im not sure Rorschach In the graphic novel says that the world isnt created by metaphysics powers and the existence is random and there is no meaning of life only the one we decide.

  • That's rather depressing though, because Rorschach seems to be driven by something more profound than pleasure or glory. If the Creator ignores all of human affairs, or worse watches them in amusement, is there really any hope for any of us, even if we are truly just?

p.s. I wouldn't call the being that deists believe in God simply the Creator.

  • as he had said...he is driven by what humanity will not do.....his face..his symbol..his stance..his drive is to teach humanity's scum that he will not stand for it....as for the victims he will not stand for them either...he feels humans should do all that is right..and be against all that is wrong...

He is in the purest sense a Paladin....plain n simple....what he feels is good and evil is absolute and never changes his stance....he does it for right and nothing more....

  • False he dont beleve in heaven he says the world isnt created by Metaphysical powers.

  • Violent people die violent deaths, Rorschach said that himself and he was also potentially the most violent character in "watchmen"

  • DEATH TO DR.MANHATTAN

  • Lol he might be blue and have super powers but you know what? all the Rorschach fans will unite and kill him! there is no escape from us DR MANHATTAN WILL DIE HE WILL PAY FOR HIS ACTIONS!! RORSCHACH FANS UNITE!

  • I can see it now. Thousands of Rorschach fans charging at Dr. Manhattan. All he has to do is look in their direction and they all simultaneously burst into millions of gory bits.

    Well, so much for that.

  • Lol That made me laugh so hard :D

  • I really like the voice actor for Rorshach. Not overly growly, but deep and forlorn.

    I weep for Rorshach.

  • rorschach suffered every moment in his life he died with honor and was released from his hell

  • Yeah, he had a horrible childhood and life

  • i just watched the movie and cannot remember... does this last entry reveal the "secret" to the "person" that works at that "place".... i'm trying not to ruin it for anyone...

  • That's the thing - WE DON'T KNOW whether it does or not. Might. Might not. And if he does, will anyone believe it?

  • I already knew. Wikipedia reveals the ending.

  • he doesn't just die he gets blown the fuck up.

  • To Kingdom come.

  • To a dystopian universe with a love for the letter V.... and he dons a new mask.

  • yup thats my favorite way to get closure from the story...doc manhattan sends him to london where hell never reach society and gets put in concentration camp in midst of failing America...wants revenge for those who have wronged him.he is in room V, and thus, it all begins again..."remember, remember the fifth of November, the gunpowder treason and plot...I know of no reason the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot...

  • sad for roschach ,my favourate character!

    feburary 16 2009

  • :'¬( I'm not gonna give away spoilers, but if you've read it and like Rorschach, then thats a sad moment. Thanks for the upload, Nawarnori.

  • if the movie were done like this, i have no problem to pay my ticket and watch it

    really nice job!

  • Then you can just buy this on bluray. No point is saying such things.

  • nice

  • Do you know the watchmen movie will be released soon?

  • Yes I know Jay :)
