  • pentrex did a tape called Juice the Final 3 interurban freight survivors and one of the railroads was this one..i like this road..great vid!!

  • @EMDSD14R I saw that video. The one in San Antonio is shut down. The only other traction operates intermittently, troy I think is the name of the other one.

  • @jfreelan1964 yeah its a great vid..oh really tht ashame..i like the one in San Antonio...oh the East Troy Electric company..they run freight passenger and dinner trains using ex South Shore cars

  • Nice.

Any track signals or grade crossing signals?

    Thank you.

  • @robertgift The only track signals I recall, is at the diamond with the UP railroad.

  • Hey nice video! I have read about The Iowa Traction railroad in Trains Mag before and I have to say it is one nice railroad! Also nice videos I subbed!

  • Wow! I had no idea those tiny locomotives could pull that many cars! I've never seen them pull more that four or five at a time, so this is a real surprise to me!

  • @umkmaniac The only reason they can pull that many is when they are empty and on mostly level track.

  • CP line was the Milwaukee, then the Soo, CP, then Iowa Montana Rail Link (owned by the Montana Rail Link), then Iowa, Chicago and Eastern (own by the Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern), then back to the CP again which has purchased the ICE and DME.

  • @irishleo2 That is a lot of railroads. I just didn't know who originally owned it.

  • Nice footage of a unique operation!
