Well, in our country's latin championships I witnessed a girl basicly crashing from standing up and spinning towards his partner to laying down on the ground. His partner failed to catch ger in the figure. They just got up and continued a while before their solo ended.

When it was time for the group dance the couple started from that trick and did it without any smackdowns. ;)
