  • $2 billion more of OUR tax dollars to Cash for Clunkers. What a waste! Poor people and students could have used those so-called "clunkers"--but now our stupid government is destroying them.

  • True, but it also means that people will be driving newer, safer and more efficient vehicles.

  • nemesis3001: The cars that they traded them in for were new and more fuel-efficient, but they weren't necessarily safer cars. Some people traded in their extremely safe vans, mini vans, and SUVs for not as safe small cars.
